Menstrual blood is not very red

Menstrual blood is not very red

Whether the menstrual blood is not red or too red will cause a woman's concern, because by inferring the menstrual blood, it is possible to effectively observe whether the body has corresponding gynecological diseases. Therefore, when menstruating, many women have the habit of observing menstrual blood. If a woman finds that her menstrual blood is not very red, she should consider whether it is caused by insufficient blood in the body. What other reasons may cause menstrual blood not to be very red?

1. Why is the menstrual blood not red?

1.1. Blood deficiency

The menstrual flow is scanty or stops with a few drops, the color is light, there is dizziness, palpitations and weakness, sallow complexion, and a feeling of emptiness in the lower abdomen. The tongue is pale and the pulse is thin.

1.2 Kidney deficiency

Menstruation is scanty and light in color, waist and knee pain, heel pain, dizziness, tinnitus, and frequent urination. The tongue is pale, and the pulse is deep, thready and weak.

1.3 Blood stasis

The menstrual period is scanty and purple in color with small blood clots. The lower abdomen is swollen and painful and resists pressure. The pain is relieved after the blood clots are discharged. The tongue is dark purple and the pulse is sluggish.

1.4 Phlegm and dampness

The menstrual volume is scanty, light red in color, and sticky like phlegm. The body is obese, and there is chest tightness, nausea, and a lot of sticky discharge. The tongue is fat, the tongue coating is white and greasy, and the pulse is slippery.

2. What factors can cause menstrual blood to be dark red?

2.1 Neuroendocrine dysfunction

Excessive mental stress, environmental changes, and endocrine disorders are mainly caused by unstable or defective function of the posterior brain-pituitary-ovarian axis, that is, menstrual disorders.

2.2 Organic diseases or drugs

Medications, such as birth control pills, drugs for liver and kidney function, organic diseases including local inflammation of the reproductive organs, uterine fibroids, uterine cysts, adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, intracranial diseases, endocrine disorders or those who use intrauterine contraceptive devices may all cause irregular menstruation.

2.3 Improper diet

Long-term consumption of spicy and cold food can lead to uterine coldness. Some people do not pay attention and take a bath or wash their hair during menstruation, which can also cause it.

3. What should you pay attention to if your menstrual blood is not red?

Improve bad living habits, environmental factors and mental factors to avoid affecting the gonad axis and causing irregular menstruation.

Do not diet or eat too much deliberately. You should pay attention to eating more foods that promote red blood cell growth and enhance immunity, such as animal liver, bone soup, lean meat, kelp, dried shrimps, green leafy vegetables, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, whole wheat bread, brown rice, oatmeal, etc.

Foods containing more fiber can promote the secretion of estrogen, increase the magnesium content in the blood, and have the effect of regulating menstruation and calming nerves.

Pay attention to personal hygiene. Underwear should be soft, cotton, and well ventilated. Wash and change underwear frequently, and dry them in the sun. Wash the vulva with clean water to prevent infection.

Keep a happy spirit, avoid mental stimulation and mood swings. Some people may experience lower abdominal distension, back pain, breast tenderness, mild diarrhea, fatigue, drowsiness, emotional instability, irritability or depression during menstruation. These are all normal and there is no need to be overly nervous.

Take part in exercise regularly, such as swimming, jogging, brisk walking, aerobics, etc., because exercise can enhance physical fitness, maintain body shape, and relieve mental stress.
