What kind of checks are needed for abortion?

Pregnant women who want to have an abortion need to undergo a physical examination and cannot buy drugs for the abortion at will, otherwise it will affect the uterus and the health of women. First of all, medical abortion can be used if the pregnancy is between 35 and 50 days. After observing the gestational sac through B-ultrasound, the uterus should be examined to avoid taking medicine if there is any inflammation. Various inflammations should be avoided during the abortion process.

1. Early pregnancy test (HCG): Starting from the 7th day of pregnancy, a specific hormone - human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG for short) can be detected in the pregnant woman's urine. The urine pregnancy test usually performed in the hospital checks it. The test strips you use at home can only be used as a reference. Only the results from the hospital test can confirm whether you are pregnant.

2. B-ultrasound examination: Check whether the gestational sac can be seen and determine the size of the gestational sac. The main purpose is to rule out ectopic pregnancy. If the gestational sac cannot be seen, it may also be a short period of time. The doctor will ask you to wait a few days before rechecking the B-ultrasound.

3. Routine examination of leucorrhea: to find out whether there are Trichomonas or fungi in the vagina. If necessary, chlamydia, mycoplasma and gonococcus should be checked. If the above microorganisms are present, it is easy to cause ascending infection. Anti-infection and anti-inflammatory treatment should be carried out before abortion. Otherwise, the infection will be aggravated and it will affect the development of the embryo during future pregnancy and induce miscarriage.

4. Inflammation examination: Check for inflammation. If any symptoms of inflammation are found, further examination and treatment are needed. Generally, treatment is required before surgery to prevent the inflammation from ascending and causing gynecological inflammations such as adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, various vaginitis, cervicitis, etc.

5. Blood test: Routine blood test to see if there is any other inflammation.

6. Electrocardiogram and liver function test: in case special treatment is needed during the operation.

7. Gynecological examination

8. BV inspection

9. Suggestions on routine blood tests, four coagulation tests, and liver function tests: It is recommended that painless abortion surgery can only be performed when all the above test results are out and the conditions meet the surgical conditions. This is not only the doctor's responsibility to the patient, but also an attitude of the patient to cherish himself.
