Do ovarian cysts require surgery?

Ovarian cyst is a gynecological disease. The occurrence of this type of disease is usually related to abortion and an unhealthy lifestyle. It has to be admitted that ovarian cysts can cause great harm to girls, so they must be taken seriously. So, what are the causes of ovarian cysts? Is surgery necessary for ovarian cysts? Let us find out together.

What are the causes of ovarian cysts?

First, endocrine factors. The uterus and ovaries are key human organs for ovulation and metabolism of gonadal hormones. When the uterus and ovaries secrete too much growth hormone due to some pathological reasons, the uterus and ovaries are very prone to abnormal proliferation, which in turn causes ovarian cysts.

Second, human tissues become alkaline. When human body cells are in acidic and alkaline blood, the metabolic circulation slows down, the cells change, the tumor characteristics of ovarian cysts are expressed, and finally a real tumor entity of ovarian cysts is formed.

Third, unhealthy lifestyle. Unhealthy lifestyle, excessive mental stress, etc., these factors can lead to a decline in women's physical fitness, abnormal proliferation of uterine and ovarian tissue, and the development of physiological ovarian cysts and pathological uterine and ovarian masses.

Fourth, balanced diet is unscientific. A high-cholesterol diet, a lack of vitamins D, C, and E, smoking, electromagnetic radiation and other environmental factors are also causes of ovarian cysts. Therefore, to prevent ovarian cysts, women also need to adjust their unscientific diet arrangements.

Fifth, hormonal influence. Eating polluted food for a long time, or taking weight loss products, health foods containing hormone drugs, etc., can also make the uterus and ovary tumors more frequent.

Is surgery necessary for ovarian cysts?

Ovarian cysts larger than 6 cm should be treated surgically. If it is less than 5 cm, and is echo-free and separated under color Doppler ultrasound examination, no treatment is required, because most of these cases are multifunctional follicular cysts or corpus luteum cysts, which will naturally shrink or disappear. If the cyst is small, you can have regular follow-up visits and receive anti-inflammatory treatment.

For this reason, we need to analyze the actual problem in depth and decide whether surgical treatment is necessary based on the size of the cyst. Also, diseases such as ovarian cysts can be prevented. Girls should pay more attention to hygiene during menstruation, increase physical exercise, and enhance immunity. At the same time, you should regularly maintain your body and eat healthy nutrition.
