Is the safe period safe?

A woman's ovulation cycle is more complicated and is generally divided into a safe period and an unsafe period in a month. The safe period mainly refers to the non-ovulation period. Having sex during this period will greatly reduce the chance of a woman becoming pregnant. Therefore, most men and women will not take certain contraceptive measures when having sex during the safe period. However, even if they have sex during the safe period, many people still end up pregnant. So is the safe period really safe?

Is the safe period really safe?

Is the safe period really safe? Can the safe period really be effective in preventing pregnancy? Studies have shown that among couples who use the safe period for contraception, 25% still fail to do so. Therefore, the safe period is not safe either. The factors that affect the success of safe contraception are mainly the following:

1. Women don’t only produce eggs during ovulation

According to some information, during World War II, soldiers would go home to see their wives from time to time, and many of them successfully helped their wives get pregnant even when their wives were in their safe period. This aroused the interest of scientists, and after research they found that women do not only ovulate during the ovulation period, but are sometimes also affected by psychological factors. This is especially true for couples who live apart and cannot see each other for long periods of time. Due to long-term sexual repression, the desire increases after a long separation and the emotions are easily excited, which causes women to ovulate suddenly, and it is possible to get pregnant even during the safe period.

2. Is the safe period calculation accurate?

Even if you have learned how to calculate the safe period, it is difficult to guarantee whether your calculation method is accurate. If there is any error, the "safe period" will become a "dangerous period".

3. Every ovulation does not necessarily follow a routine

Ovulation is not regular every time. It is closely related to the surrounding environment and one's own physical constitution. It is inevitable that there will be such situations: delayed ovulation, early ovulation, or even two ovulations in a month, etc. All of these are possible.
