How to treat infertility

How to treat infertility

It is difficult for both men and women to face the problem of infertility. Due to the different body structures of men and women, the causes of infertility are also different. Most female infertility is caused by fallopian tube blockage or imperfect corpus luteum function, while male infertility is related to sperm survival rate. So what are the main treatments for infertility?

Female Infertility Treatment

1. Treatment of infertility caused by fallopian tube obstruction

Treatment of tubal obstruction infertility requires comprehensive symptomatic treatment based on the patient's specific situation. Because the physiological functions of the fallopian tube, namely the collection of eggs, transportation of eggs, transportation and activation of sperm, etc., must rely on the ciliary activity of the fallopian tube mucosa, as well as the peristalsis and discontinuous contraction of the fallopian tube. Sperm that enters the vagina has to go through many stages before conception can occur. There are many ways to treat fallopian tube obstruction, such as tubal hydrotubation, ventilation, intrauterine drug injection, oral medication, acupuncture and external treatment. For those with severe adhesions, fallopian tube adhesion lysis, fallopian tube anastomosis, salpingostomy, etc. must be performed. Finally, I would like to mention that you should not blindly use hydrotubation as the treatment method. Repeated hydrotubation can cause more severe hydrosalpinx, uterine hypertrophy, and the formation of water sacs in the fallopian tubes, which can cause fallopian tube dysfunction and make infertility more complicated. In addition, because the fallopian tube hydrotubation is very painful for patients, patients who are sensitive to pain are very likely to suffer from false obstruction. Therefore, patients must go to a regular hospital with qualified conditions for treatment in order to achieve better results.

2. Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy

Hysteroscopy and laparoscopy is an advanced gynecological diagnosis and treatment technology, and is widely used in infertility. Uterine infertility accounts for 30% of female infertility. Common causes include endometritis, intrauterine adhesions, uterine malformations, uterine fibroids and endometrial polyps. Since hysteroscopy can directly observe various lesions in the uterine cavity and determine the location of the lesions through the scope and image monitoring system, it has a high application value in diagnosing diseases and abnormalities in the uterine cavity.

Male Infertility Treatment

1. Immunotherapy: Use surgical procedures to remove local damaged lesions in the reproductive tract, reduce the production of anti-sperm antibodies, and use immune preparations at the same time to achieve better results.

2. Treatment of genital tract inflammation: In general, it is recommended to combine antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs to treat male infertility, which has better therapeutic effects. When it comes to the treatment of male infertility, the cause must be checked first, and then targeted treatment is carried out to achieve the best treatment.

3. Endocrine therapy: Long-acting testosterone enanthate is mainly used to treat hypogonadism with low gonadotropin; bromocriptine is used to treat hyperprolactinemia.

4. Artificial insemination: Artificial insemination is the most effective treatment for male infertility. Various physical and biochemical techniques are used to process semen to improve the sperm's ability to conceive.
