Ovarian laparoscopic surgery

Ovarian laparoscopic surgery

Now laparoscopic surgery has gradually developed to a very advantageous stage. Humans are no longer afraid of laparoscopic surgery. Instead, they will give priority to laparoscopic surgery because the trauma after the operation is very small and it will not cause any harm or side effects to the patient's body. So everyone can choose it, and they can also use the ovaries with confidence. When performing laparoscopic surgery, let's take a look at the advantages of the surgery and what you should pay attention to in your diet after the operation?

Advantages of laparoscopic surgery:

1. Laparoscopic surgery is a new minimally invasive technology: Laparoscopic surgery is a newly developed minimally invasive method and an inevitable trend in the development of future surgical methods. Laparoscopic surgery is a representative of truly minimally invasive surgery, which greatly reduces trauma, makes the operation and postoperative recovery easy and less painful.

2. Laparoscopic surgery causes little damage to patients: Laparoscopic surgery causes little disturbance to the abdominal organs and avoids the irritation and contamination of the abdominal cavity by air and dust and bacteria in the air. During the operation, electrocute and electrocoagulation are the main methods. The blood vessels are coagulated first and then cut, which stops the bleeding completely and causes minimal bleeding. Before the end of the operation, the abdominal cavity is thoroughly flushed to keep it clean. Therefore, the intestinal function recovers quickly after surgery, and patients can eat earlier, which greatly reduces the factors of postoperative intestinal adhesion.

3. Laparoscopic surgery avoids postoperative scars: abdominal wall puncture replaces abdominal wall incision, avoiding damage to abdominal wall muscles, blood vessels and corresponding nerves. There will be no abdominal wall weakness and abdominal wall incision hernia after surgery, the motor function will not be affected by abdominal wall muscle scarring, and the corresponding skin numbness will not be caused by abdominal wall nerve cutting.

Postoperative diet

What should you eat after laparoscopic surgery? Usually, you should be able to resume eating after you recover from laparoscopic surgery. First, drink some warm water. If there is no discomfort, you can start eating liquid food (such as porridge). You can resume your normal diet the next day. Since protein is needed for wound healing, you should take high-protein foods (such as fish, lean meat, eggs) to accelerate wound healing, and avoid irritating foods to avoid stimulating gastric acid secretion and causing gastrointestinal discomfort (such as peppers, cigarettes, oil, coffee).

The biggest difference between laparoscopic surgery and general open surgery is that carbon dioxide needs to be insufflated during the operation to create pneumoperitoneum for easy operation, so it is easy for residual carbon dioxide gas to remain in the abdomen after the operation. Therefore, after laparoscopic surgery, the diet should increase the intake of vegetables and high-fiber fruits, and avoid eating gas-producing foods, such as sweet potatoes, beans, onions, etc., to reduce the discomfort caused by postoperative abdominal distension.

As for larger laparoscopic surgeries, such as hysterectomy, intestinal adhesion resection, cervical cancer eradication surgery, etc., because of the longer anesthesia time and the longer operation time, the gastrointestinal tract absorbs more gas and is more likely to have abdominal distension. Therefore, it is more appropriate to eat after 24 hours. For patients who are prone to nausea, vomiting, and special physical conditions after surgery, they do not need to force themselves to eat. They can eat after the anesthesia has completely worn off.
