How to get rid of aunt acne

In fact, what most women don’t know is that menstruation is a physiological activity that helps the body detoxify, so various abnormal reactions will occur in the body before and after menstruation. A small number of women will find that they have inexplicable pimples on their faces before their period. This is actually a manifestation of menstrual acne. Generally, acne will disappear on its own after a woman's menstrual period ends. But once acne appears, is there any trick to eliminate it?

1. How to treat acne during menstruation

Menstruation comes once a month and is a channel for women to detoxify. It can help women expel various stagnant heat and fire toxins from the body. Some women will develop some pimples on their faces about 10 days before menstruation, which will quickly subside after menstruation; or women who already had acne will have their acne significantly worse before menstruation, and the symptoms will be significantly alleviated or even disappear completely after the menstruation ends.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that acne is caused by the release of heat and toxins in the body to the face and skin. If a person is under great stress, holds a grudge, or often eats spicy food, heat and toxins can easily accumulate in the body. If a person has abundant Qi and blood in the body, these heat toxins will automatically dissipate. For example, getting angry, sweating during exercise, and getting acne are all ways to vent heat toxins. Because some women are more introverted and their internal fire is not strong, these heat toxins and acne are usually difficult to dissipate. Only during the menstrual period, when the liver yin blood flows downward and the liver yang qi moves upward, can the damp heat and toxic fire in the body be driven out. Only then will acne appear on the surface of the skin. Chinese medicine calls this "toxin carbuncle".

Acne during menstruation is most common in people with a damp-heat constitution. People with a damp-heat constitution generally have oily skin, easily dirty hair, bad breath, and if the pimples are scratched, small white fat particles will overflow, but there will be no water (tissue fluid) or pus or blood. At the same time, they will also have symptoms of irritability, heavy or unclean menstruation, and the color of the menstrual blood will be reddish and the blood will be sticky. If there are too many pimples, you can use some self-conditioning methods, such as drinking mung bean soup, barley porridge, chrysanthemum tea and other foods that clear away heat and reduce fire.

2. What to do if you get acne during menstruation

1. Pay attention to oil control and moisturizing. Although the fundamental reason for acne during menstruation is endocrine problems, the direct cause is still related to excessive oil secretion of the epidermis. Therefore, oil control and moisturizing can remove excess oil secreted by the skin, ensure the normal pores, and thus cut off the living environment of acne.

2. Balance your endocrine system. Since the main cause of acne during menstruation is endocrine problems, regulating your endocrine system is of course the fundamental solution.

3. How to prevent menstrual acne?

1. Stay away from staying up late and ensure adequate sleep. Women's immunity is relatively weak during menstruation, and if they do not get enough rest, they are easily invaded by bacteria.

2. Think about happy things, do happy things, and try to maintain a stable and optimistic mood.

3. Combine work and rest, and avoid overwork during menstruation, otherwise it will reduce your immunity.

4. Never take a shower with cold water. How comfortable it is to take a cold shower in the hot summer! Chairman Mao even took cold showers in winter! Men can do it, but women must not. Even if you are not menstruating, it is best not to take a cold shower or wash your feet. Even if you take a cold shower in the summer, you may still suffer from dysmenorrhea all year round.

5. Dietary taboos: It is better to eat less cold drinks such as ice cream and spicy food. Eat more foods such as hawthorn, brown sugar, etc. that have the effect of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.

6. Pay attention to nutrition and consume enough protein. These measures can not only help suppress acne, but are also very helpful in preventing dysmenorrhea.
