How to help the fetus enter the pelvis

After becoming pregnant, female friends will pay special attention to every move of their baby in the belly. If there is a little mistake, they will feel very worried. They don’t know how to adjust to ensure the smooth delivery of the baby. In particular, the problem of the fetus entering the pelvis is a situation that many pregnant women are worried about. In fact, it can usually enter the pelvis successfully. If the fetus cannot enter the pelvis, surgical intervention can be used for treatment.

Generally speaking, in the last month of pregnancy, the fetal head of a normal primipara should enter the pregnant woman's pelvis and be connected to the pelvis without floating. However, in a few pregnant women, the fetal head still does not enter the pelvis when the pregnancy is full-term, but floats above the pubic symphysis, which is called primipara head floating.

The reason for this is that some pregnant women have a narrow pelvis, and the fetal head is not proportional to the pelvis, which makes it impossible for the fetal head to enter the pelvis. This phenomenon may occur if the fetal head is too large, the fetal position is abnormal, or there is placenta previa, even if the pregnant woman's pelvis is normal. Fetal hydrocephalus or polyhydramnios can also cause it. However, some primiparas do not have the above reasons, but still experience the phenomenon of the fetal head not entering the pelvis.

Pregnant women who have a floating head during their first delivery do not need to be nervous. If the pregnant woman's pelvis and fetus are normal, she should cooperate closely with the doctor. After delivery, due to the squeezing of the uterine contraction, the fetal head will also deform into the pelvis, so that vaginal delivery can still be successful. If the examination finds that the floating head is caused by uncorrectable pathological factors, you can prepare for surgical delivery. If a pregnant woman with a floating head experiences premature rupture of membranes and leakage of amniotic fluid, she should stay in bed with her hips raised and be sent to the hospital immediately. Because this situation is very likely to cause umbilical cord prolapse, causing accidents to the fetus.

The feeling of the fetus entering the pelvis is like something suddenly falling out of your body.

The fundus of the uterus will drop after the fetal head enters the pelvis.

After the fetus enters the pelvis, your belly will look different from before. Your chest will no longer touch your belly, and the shape of your belly will look a bit like a grapefruit. You will feel a little more relaxed than when your belly was at its largest! And your belly will feel a little hard.

After the baby enters the pelvis, you will have more obvious uterine contractions. The feeling of uterine contractions is like dysmenorrhea. The further down the baby goes, the more obvious the dysmenorrhea you feel! Some people will also experience frequent urination.

You can take a shower every day or look in front of the mirror for a few minutes after getting up in the morning, and slowly you will find that the shape of your belly will be a little different.

When the fetus enters the pelvis, many pregnant women often feel a tightening and heavy pain in their abdomen, and think that the fetus in their abdomen is descending, so they will rush to the hospital in a hurry. In fact, this situation is not a real sign of labor. The main differences are that first, the duration of uterine contractions is short, often less than half a minute; second, the contractions are irregular and relatively weak. Therefore, it is often called "false labor". But no matter what, the pelvis entering the pelvis means that delivery is approaching, and pregnant women can make all kinds of preparations based on this signal to welcome the arrival of the baby.
