What is ovulation period?

Every woman will experience ovulation in adulthood. Generally, the ovulation period will occur after the end of menarche, but the time of ovulation is not fixed. After 1 to 2 years of uterine development, the ovulation period will enter a certain regular stage. Women can judge the approximate time of ovulation by the time of their menstruation. At the same time as the ovulation period, there will be leucorrhea secretion, and the ovulation period can also be determined by the leucorrhea.

Girls ovulation period

Method 1: Infer ovulation period by recording menstrual cycle

The menstrual cycle of women all over the world ranges from 21 to 35 days, with an average of 28 days. Generally speaking, as long as it is a regular, normal menstrual cycle with ovulation, the luteal phase of menstruation after ovulation is relatively fixed, which is 12 to 16 days, with an average of 14 days. The period before ovulation is called the follicular phase, and its duration varies depending on the length of the cycle, but the luteal phase after ovulation is basically the same, which is 14 days.

Therefore, if you have a regular and normal menstrual cycle and your cycle is 21 days, you may ovulate on the 6th or 7th day of your cycle. If your menstrual cycle is 35 days, you may ovulate on the 20th or 21st day.

Method 2: Basal body temperature detection

Measure and record your basal body temperature for six to twelve months. Your basal body temperature will rise by 0.3-0.5℃ after ovulation. Women who are planning to get pregnant can buy a thermometer and shake it to below 35°C before going to bed every day. Every morning when they wake up (after 6-8 hours of sleep), they should measure their temperature immediately without doing any exercise.

Method 3: Cervical mucus observation

Generally, daily observation and recording should begin around the 10th day of the menstrual cycle. For the few days after menstruation, it is enough to just have an impression, and there is no requirement to start immediately after menstruation. Every time you go to the bathroom, check your sanitary pad to see how much secretion is on it and whether there is any particularly clear mucus.

These translucent parts are mainly composed of cervical mucus. You can use your index finger to dip in the transparent mucus, then use your thumb to pull it apart to see how long the stretch is. If it is more than 8cm, it is close to ovulation. If it is more than 12cm, ovulation should occur within 24 hours. Of course, considering the individual differences of each person, it is recommended to use personal measurement data as the standard.

Method 4

The luteinizing hormone (LH) in women's urine will reach a peak level 24-48 hours before ovulation. Using ovulation test strips can more accurately detect the peak level of LH. After starting the test, you should test regularly every day. When the color is about to reach the peak, you should test every 12 hours until the LH peak is detected.
