Infertility after two years of marriage

Infertility after two years of marriage

Men and women generally enter a normal married life after marriage, and sex is an inevitable activity in the lives of couples. In order to enjoy two more years of time together, many couples will take contraceptive measures every time they have sex. Some couples will choose to let nature take its course, but find that it is not particularly easy to get pregnant. So what should you do if you are infertile after two years of marriage?

If a couple has a normal sexual life, does not use contraception, and does not get pregnant within a year, it is called infertility. If infertility occurs, timely examination is required. First, the male's semen routine test should be checked. If the male's semen routine test is normal, the female's examination can be carried out, because most of the female's examinations are invasive and more complicated. First, a hysterosalpingography examination should be performed to understand whether the fallopian tubes are blocked. Then ovulation should be monitored to understand whether the ovaries have normal ovulation function. There are also six hormone tests, endocrine tests, and immune infertility tests. These are the most basic items for infertility examinations.

The role of basal body temperature

1. Determine whether ovulation occurs and guide contraception

Generally, the basal body temperature during the follicular phase is 36.5℃, and it rises by more than 0.5℃ during the luteal phase, resulting in a biphasic performance, indicating ovulation. If the monophasic body temperature curve does not have a later increase, it indicates that there is no ovulation, and its accuracy rate is 70%~80%.

If the body temperature rises by 0.3~0.6℃ or even higher within 24 hours, it means that you are in the ovulation state.

In addition, basal body temperature can also roughly reflect the quality of the eggs released. If the high temperature period of basal body temperature is longer, lasting 13 to 14 days, it means that the quality of the egg is good.

2Diagnosing early pregnancy and judging safety in early pregnancy

If your basal body temperature remains high for more than two weeks, you should consider going to the hospital for a check-up as you may be pregnant. If it is ≥20 days, it can be confirmed as early pregnancy. In the early stages of pregnancy, the BBT curve gradually decreases, indicating luteal insufficiency or placental dysfunction, and a tendency to miscarriage.

3Observe corpus luteum function

BBT should rise immediately after ovulation and remain at a high level for ≥ 11 days. If BBT rises in a step-like manner, the curve will take 3 days to reach a high level or BBT will rise steadily
