Breast health tips

Preventing breast diseases is something every adult woman should pay attention to. Self-examination is the best way to examine your breasts. Not only does it save you the trouble of going to the hospital for a checkup, but it also saves you a lot of embarrassment. Therefore, experts remind women to develop the habit of regular breast examinations starting at the age of 24, and then go to the hospital for regular breast examinations every six months or a year. Next, I will teach you some tips on self-examination of breast health.

The best time to do a breast self-examination is after your period. Here are the steps:

1. Lie down flat on your back with a pillow behind you. Raise one hand and place it behind your head, and use the other hand to gently press the breast on the side where the hand is raised. Check from the armpit to the breast to see if there are any enlarged axillary lymph nodes. Once you find breast pigmentation, sunken or obviously protruding nipples, and swollen axillary lymph nodes, these may be signs of a tumor. It is recommended that you go to a regular hospital for a comprehensive examination and have a doctor give you a judgment and advice.

2. Place your hands vertically on both sides of your body, clamp them with a little force and observe the difference between your breasts. Pay attention to the integrity of the breast's outer lines and contours. Then check whether the breast skin is smooth and even, whether there are any changes in bumps and depressions, and whether there are any abnormal colors; finally, observe whether the nipples protrude outward and whether the breasts on both sides are symmetrical and on the same level. If there are any special occurrences, please keep a record.

3. Put your hand too high behind your head and observe whether the color and shape of the breast on the same side are normal, and check whether there is any secretion from the nipple.

4. When taking a bath, use shower gel to lubricate, put your hands behind your head, put the middle three fingers of your other hand together, and slowly move clockwise from the inside to the outside with the nipple as the center. Feel for any lumps or particles, and finally squeeze the nipple to see if any secretions appear.
