Pregnant woman with pain below chest and above abdomen

Pregnant woman with pain below chest and above abdomen

Pregnant women often experience various abnormal conditions during pregnancy. Some of these conditions are normal physiological signs and there is no need to be too nervous, but some abnormal manifestations still need to be understood. Pregnant women may experience pain below the chest and above the stomach. The location here refers to the area between the stomach and chest. If the pain does not continue to worsen and no brown secretions appear, then it is generally a normal physiological sign.

Why does a pregnant woman feel pain between her stomach and chest?

If you have a dull pain in your abdomen after pregnancy, and if it does not continue to worsen, and there is no brown discharge from the vagina, and it does not affect your normal life, it is mostly physiological, mainly caused by irritation to certain parts of the body. As the uterus gradually becomes larger after pregnancy, it will stimulate the local bones, causing dull pain in the abdomen, and this pain symptom only occurs in the early stages of pregnancy.

Precautions during early pregnancy

1. Have a moderate sex life. Having sex is a normal part of married life for couples. But when the wife is pregnant, how to have sex is something that should be taken seriously. To ensure the health of the fetus, sexual intercourse should be avoided during the first three months of pregnancy.

2. Supplement folic acid to prevent fetal malformations. The first three months of pregnancy are the critical period for the development of the fetal neural tube. Therefore, expectant mothers should try to avoid various adverse factors, such as smoking and drinking environments, harmful chemicals, newly renovated houses, poorly ventilated environments, etc., and improve their immunity to avoid viral infections, and do not take drugs privately.

3. Intake of calcium and iron. More than half of the calcium in the fetus is stored in the late pregnancy. Pregnant women should consume 1500 mg of calcium daily and supplement with an appropriate amount of calcium. The fetal liver stores iron at a rate of 5 mg per day during this period, reaching 300-400 mg of iron by birth. Pregnant women should consume 28 mg of iron per day, and should consume more hemoglobin-type iron from animal foods.

Pay close attention in the early stages of pregnancy. If vaginal bleeding occurs and is accompanied by abdominal pain, seek medical attention immediately to conceive. At the same time, developing good work and rest habits and consuming more protein will be more conducive to the normal development of the fetus. The diet should be light and nutritious, and the room should be ventilated frequently. I hope the above introduction to why pregnant women experience pain between their stomach and chest can help everyone.
