Symptoms of infection after induction of labor

Generally speaking, induced abortion is a more complicated method of artificial abortion than surgical abortion and medical abortion because it requires going through many different stages before the induced abortion. Moreover, the woman's body will be weaker during and after the induced labor, so it is even more important to recover her body at this time. At the same time, if women do not pay attention to the physical recovery after induced labor, induced labor infection problems will occur. What are the symptoms of induced labor infection problems?

What are the symptoms of induced labor?

After the induced abortion surgery, the patient will experience uterine contractions. In traditional surgery, the patient will usually feel abdominal pain after the contractions. As the contractions intensify, the abdominal pain also intensifies. Female patients have to endure severe pain at this time.

Many women cry out in pain because they cannot bear the abdominal pain. Some experience nausea, vomiting, and cold sweats, while others faint and go into shock, causing tremendous psychological, mental, and physical trauma to female friends. The pain of uterine curettage after induced abortion is difficult for women to accept, and incomplete uterine curettage may lead to heavy bleeding, infection, and infertility after induced abortion. What’s worse, it may lead to uterine perforation, intestinal perforation, etc., causing serious complications and endangering women’s lives.

Generally, the following symptoms will occur after induction of labor:

1. Heavy bleeding after induced abortion: Heavy bleeding caused by weak uterine contractions or placental problems after delivery. Heavy bleeding in a short period of time may cause hemorrhagic shock and even life-threatening.

2. Birth canal injury: During the induction of labor, birth canal injury can easily occur due to strong uterine contractions, small cervical opening and poor elasticity.

3. Amniotic fluid embolism: This is a more dangerous complication of induced labor. It is caused by uterine contraction during induction of labor, which increases the pressure in the uterine cavity, causing the fetal membrane to rupture and most of the amniotic fluid to flow into the blood vessels. It can cause patients to have difficulty breathing, cough, cyanosis of the face, irritability, chest tightness, and even convulsions.

4. Infection: Some patients may experience lower abdominal pain, purulent or bloody vaginal discharge, and severe cases may lead to shock.

Reminder, precautions after induced labor:

1. Keep the vulva clean and hygienic, and avoid sexual intercourse: After induced abortion, the cervix has not closed yet, and the endometrium also has a process of repair. During this period, special attention should be paid to keeping the vulva clean and hygienic. For example, do not take a bath in a tub within half a month after the operation to prevent unclean water from entering the vagina and causing infection.

2. Pay attention to rest and supplement nutrition: You should pay attention to rest for a period of time after induced labor, and do not engage in heavy physical labor in a short period of time, avoid contact with cold water, etc. This will help women recover their health as soon as possible after induced labor.

3. Pay attention to contraception: After induced abortion, the ovarian and uterine functions of women gradually recover, and the ovaries ovulate on schedule. If you don't stick to contraception, you will get pregnant again soon.
