Standards for high-quality follicles

Standards for high-quality follicles

Women need relatively high-quality follicles during the process of conception. There are many factors that cause infertility, such as ovulation disorders and fallopian tube abnormalities. There is luck and difficulty behind every successful conception. Therefore, expectant mothers who successfully conceive must cherish the baby in the fetus. Many women do not understand what the standards for high-quality follicles are. What are the standards for high-quality follicles? Let’s take a look at it next.

1. What are the criteria for high-quality follicles?

Generally, the diameter of a normal mature follicle should be between 18mm and 25mm.

2. The significance of monitoring follicles

During the female infertility examination, it is important to monitor the follicles. The purpose is to understand whether the follicles are growing and developing normally, whether they are being discharged, etc.

3. Time to monitor follicles

Follicle monitoring is generally carried out on the 10th day after the start of the menstrual cycle. The commonly used method is B-ultrasound detection, which can directly observe the changes in the diameter of the follicles.

Under normal circumstances, 4 days before ovulation, the diameter of the follicle will increase by an average of about 3mm per day. I hope female friends can remember this feature. In addition, before a woman's ovulation, the diameter of the mature follicles in her ovaries is approximately 17 to 25 mm, but these follicles will disappear after ovulation. When the larger follicles in the ovaries begin to disappear, it indicates that ovulation has occurred.

4. How big does the follicle need to be to be discharged?

In addition, the size of a woman's follicles before they are discharged varies from person to person. Every woman is different, and there will be certain differences in the normal size of the follicles. Generally, a woman's follicles can be discharged when they grow to 15mm, but some women's follicles have to grow to 25mm before they are discharged. This is determined according to the specific situation of female friends, so female friends need to go to the hospital to check the size of their follicles.

You can understand whether it is mature and normal. If ovulation does not occur, treatment should be initiated promptly.

The normal size of a mature follicle is 18-25mm. If it is lower or larger than this standard, ovulation will not occur normally. Under normal circumstances, the size of the follicle is not fixed, but changes dynamically over time. The follicle grows at a rate of 0.2CM per day. If the detected follicle size is not 18-25mm, it is recommended to continue B-ultrasound monitoring to clarify the ovulation situation.
