Will I get eczema if I'm pregnant with a son?

Women change a lot after pregnancy, both physically and mentally. Some women have very good skin before pregnancy and never get acne or eczema, but after pregnancy, their skin becomes spotted and they are more prone to eczema. However, many people think that they can tell whether the pregnant woman is having a son or a daughter by looking at the changes in the pregnant woman. But will a pregnant woman develop eczema if she is having a son? This has no scientific basis. Eczema is a skin problem and has nothing to do with the gender of the fetus.

Does having eczema during pregnancy mean that you will have a boy?

Eczema during pregnancy is caused by a humid environment or dampness in the body, and has nothing to do with the gender of the fetus.

Symptoms of eczema during pregnancy

Symptoms of acute eczema: severe itching, polymorphic skin lesions, erythema, papules, papulovesicles or blisters densely packed in patches, easy to exude, unclear boundaries, small papules and papulovesicles scattered around, often accompanied by erosion and crusting. If secondary infection occurs, pustules or pus crusts may appear.

Symptoms of subacute eczema: After the acute eczema is alleviated, there is still severe itching. The skin lesions are mainly papules, crusts and scales, with a small amount of papulovesicles and mild erosion. It can be cured within a few weeks with proper treatment. If improperly treated, it may have an acute attack or turn into chronic eczema.

Symptoms of chronic eczema: Chronic eczema often develops due to repeated attacks of acute or subacute eczema. It may also not be obvious at the beginning, but due to frequent scratching, friction or other stimulation, the disease may start as chronic eczema. The symptoms are infiltration and hypertrophy of the skin in the affected area, rough surface, dark red color or pigmentation. The lesions are mostly localized plaques, commonly found on the hands, feet, calf elbows, breasts, vulva, anus, etc., with clear edges. The course of the disease is chronic, lasting for months or years, or it may occur acutely due to stimulation.
