Uterine malformation refers to the abnormal development of the female uterus, and is also a very common disease among reproductive organ malformations. Some patients with uterine malformations generally go undetected and may only be discovered during a full-body examination. It is the most susceptible to disease among the female reproductive organs, but many women do not pay attention to this problem. Below are the symptoms and some treatments of congenital uterine malformations that the editor has found. 1. Abnormal menstruation Patients with congenital absence of uterus or primordial uterus have no menstruation. Patients with immature uterus may have no menstruation, or they may have symptoms such as scanty menstruation, delayed menstruation, dysmenorrhea, and irregular menstruation. 2. Infertility Uterine hypoplasia, such as absence of uterus, primordial uterus, and infantile uterus, is often one of the main causes of infertility. 3. Pathological pregnancy An abnormally developed uterus often causes miscarriage, premature birth or abnormal fetal position after pregnancy. Spontaneous uterine rupture may occur during pregnancy. If the fallopian tube is unobstructed, the fertilized egg can implant in the rudimentary horn of the uterus. However, due to the poor development of the uterine myometrium, it often ruptures during pregnancy. 1. Ultrasound examination One of the most commonly used obstetric and gynecological examination methods, it uses ultrasound imaging to display the cross-sectional morphology of the examined area and its relationship with surrounding organs. 2. Magnetic resonance imaging Magnetic resonance imaging uses the signals generated by the resonance of atomic nuclei in a magnetic field to reconstruct images. This method is considered to be the best way to examine uterine malformations. 3. Hysterosalpingography The contrast agent is introduced into the uterus and fallopian tubes through a catheter, and then X-rays are taken to show the shape of the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes. 4. Laparoscopy It is a minimally invasive surgery that uses a laparoscope and its camera and imaging system to visually examine the uterus and fallopian tubes. In general, congenital uterine malformations are curable. However, pregnant mothers should pay attention to regular prenatal checkups to make sure the baby is healthy in the womb and that the baby's growth is not affected by uterine problems. It would be best to wait until the uterine malformation is cured before having a baby, which can make people feel more at ease. |
