Belly gurgling pregnancy

Belly gurgling pregnancy

Many pregnant women will find that their stomachs often make gurgling sounds during pregnancy, and they worry that this is an abnormality caused by some physical condition. If your lower abdomen rumbles, it may be because you are hungry. This is because a pregnant woman's metabolism is faster during pregnancy than before pregnancy, so the energy consumption required by the body also increases. Another possibility is that it is caused by intestinal gas.

What causes gurgling stomach sounds during pregnancy?

1. Hungry: The metabolism of a pregnant mother is faster than at other times, and the body has a greater demand for energy consumption. In addition, the fetus needs more nutrients for growth and development in the late pregnancy. Therefore, expectant mothers may feel hungry not long after having a meal, and their stomachs will make gurgling sounds when their intestines are empty, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. Therefore, there is no need to worry too much at this time, and the symptoms will usually be relieved after eating something.

2. Intestinal gas: Intestinal gas is also one of the most common problems during pregnancy, which is mainly related to indigestion. For example, expectant mothers usually eat too much, which increases the burden on the stomach and intestines, eats too much food that is difficult to digest, eats too much gas-producing food, etc., and the enlarged abdomen affects the gastrointestinal motility, which will cause indigestion. Food stays in the stomach for too long and over-fermented, producing gas, which will eventually manifest as gurgling stomach sounds. Secondly, some women are in a bad emotional state after pregnancy and are under tremendous mental pressure, which can also affect their gastrointestinal function and cause rumbling sounds in their stomachs. Therefore, when you experience rumbling stomach sounds, you should pay attention to adjusting your diet structure, and if you are under mental stress, you should relieve it through effective means in a timely manner.

In general, stomach rumbling during pregnancy has nothing to do with the condition of the uterus and fetus, so women should not worry too much if they experience this symptom. However, long-term hunger or gastrointestinal bloating may affect the growth and development of the fetus, so you should pay attention to taking correct methods for conditioning and treatment.
