What medicine to use for vaginitis

Female vaginitis is a relatively common gynecological disease. Female vaginitis will cause vaginal itching, pain, abnormal vaginal discharge, curd-like secretions, vaginal discharge and other adverse symptoms. There are many types of vaginitis, such as bacterial vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, Trichomonas vaginitis, etc. It is recommended to check which type of vaginitis you have and then treat it symptomatically. What medicine should be used for vaginitis? Let’s take a look at it next.

1. What medicine is used for vaginitis?

Vaginitis mainly depends on the cause. Vaginal inflammation is nothing more than infection, which is divided into three categories. One is Trichomonas infection, called Trichomonas vaginitis; the second is fungal infection, which we call candidal vaginitis; and there is a disease called bacterial vaginosis, which is the so-called vaginal microecology. By detecting changes in vaginal flora, we can see whether you have vaginal inflammation. If it is a fungal infection, antifungal treatment will be enough. Most vaginal suppositories will be enough. For some very serious cases, you can take some antifungal drugs orally. Trichomonas infection is mainly treated with vaginal suppositories, for example, metronidazole suppositories, which are used to treat Trichomonas vaginitis. Severe cases can also be treated orally with Trichomonas, such as metronidazole. As for bacterial vaginitis, the changes in the vaginal microecology depend on the patient's symptoms. If the patient has symptoms such as excessive leucorrhea, some symptomatic drugs can be used, including oral antibiotics and vaginal suppositories. However, for most bacterial vaginitis, if there are no symptoms, but only hints in cervical cytology through TCT examination, no treatment is required.

2. Precautions for vaginitis:

1. If you use a washing liquid, you should use it reasonably under the guidance of a doctor and wash once or twice to restore the acid-base environment of the vagina, which can heal quickly. You can usually use running water, and it is not recommended to use a washing liquid;

2. When choosing underwear, it is recommended to wear breathable, loose cotton underwear, change it every day, wash it by hand, and dry it. It does not need to be boiled or ironed, and try not to use sanitary pads; 3. When swimming, try to avoid sitting on the shore in wet swimming trunks, soak in hot springs as little as possible, and try to keep the vagina in a dry environment.

3. Notes

Patients should not eat spicy and irritating foods, beef, mutton, or seafood, and should not drink beverages, coffee, strong tea, or alcohol. Both husband and wife should be treated at the same time to avoid cross-infection. They must drink plenty of boiled water, take frequent baths, and change clothes frequently.
