Is the ovulation date fixed every month?

Is the ovulation date fixed every month?

Generally speaking, for healthy women, the ovulation day of each month is relatively fixed. As long as the menstruation is regular, the ovulation will generally be relatively fixed. Of course, if the menstruation is irregular, or if you catch a cold, or are affected by psychological and emotional factors, this will often lead to irregular ovulation. If you also have some gynecological problems, this irregular phenomenon will be aggravated.

Menstrual regularity: basically fixed

If a woman has regular menstruation, her ovulation day is relatively fixed every month. Of course, this fixed date does not refer to a fixed day in January, but is calculated based on the menstrual cycle. The date may be different this month and next month. Generally speaking, if the menstrual cycle is regular for about 28 days, the ovulation date is generally about 14 days before the next menstrual period. The ovulation date may be different depending on the menstrual cycle. However, this method cannot accurately infer a person's ovulation day. It is necessary to use ovulation test strips and B-ultrasound to detect ovulation in order to accurately determine the ovulation day.

Irregular menstruation: irregular

If a woman has irregular menstruation, she may have endocrine abnormalities or other diseases, and her ovulation date may not be fixed. Because ovulation itself is affected by endocrine, environment, nutrition, disease, mental factors and other aspects.

How to determine the ovulation day

1. Symptom inference method: When the ovulation day is approaching, due to the high estrogen content in the blood, lower abdominal pain, breast swelling, waist soreness, dull skin, thirst and other phenomena may occur. In particular, the vagina will become more and more moist, and the secretions will increase. It will be abnormally thin and very stretchable, as clear and transparent as egg white, and can be stretched into long threads when touched with fingertips. The appearance of such leucorrhea indicates that ovulation is about to occur, and it usually lasts for 3-5 days. The last day of this mucus appearance ± 48 hours is the ovulation day, and sexual intercourse at this time is the easiest to get pregnant. After that, under the influence of progesterone, the secretions will gradually decrease, and they will become thick, sticky and no longer in a filamentous shape.

2. Ovulation test strip monitoring Ovulation test strip monitoring is a method of checking whether "luteinizing hormone" is secreted in urine. If there is secretion, it means that this is the ovulation day. About a week after the end of menstruation, you only need to collect your urine every day and use the ovulation test strip to test once. If you find that the ovulation test strip is getting stronger and stronger, you should increase the frequency of testing, and it is best to test once every 4 hours. If you compare the test strips and find that the ovulation test strip begins to weaken and quickly becomes weaker, it means that ovulation is about to occur.

3. Basal body temperature method Basal body temperature refers to the body temperature measured after a person wakes up after 6 to 8 hours of sleep without performing any activities, including talking, dressing, drinking water, urinating, or getting up.
