Shorter menstrual periods and less menstrual volume

Shorter menstrual periods and less menstrual volume

Every girl's physical condition is different, especially the menstrual cycle varies greatly. Some girls have longer cycles, while some girls have shorter cycles. This all depends on the activity of the female ovaries. If the activity is low, the secretion of hormones will gradually decrease, which will cause the menstrual cycle to shorten and the amount of menstrual blood to decrease. This situation is not optimistic, and you must eat some nourishing foods or take some medicines to regulate it.

1. The length of the menstrual cycle depends on the length of the development and maturation period of the ovarian follicles in the woman, while the length of the luteal phase is the same, about fourteen days. If the follicular development period is long, the menstrual cycle will be long, otherwise the menstrual cycle will be short. The length of a woman's menstrual cycle varies from person to person, generally no less than 20 days and no more than 45 days. Everyone has their own pattern. Because a shorter menstrual cycle does not mean that you have a certain disease. During a woman's life, the menstrual cycle is not fixed, but may change with a variety of factors, with shorter cycles being the most common.

2. Normal cycle: Under ideal conditions, the fetus visits once every 28 or 30 days on average, but once every 21 to 35 days is also considered normal. A difference of about 5 days per month from the scheduled date is within an acceptable range. In some cases, as long as the cycle is stable, such as every 40, 41, or 42 days, it is okay. However, a cycle that is too short may cause women to suffer from anemia and physical weakness. Chinese or Western medicine can be used to prolong the cycle to address the cause of the short menstrual cycle.

There are also some medical conditions that may cause short menstrual cycles:

1. Poor ovarian reserve function: mostly occurs in women of childbearing age after 35 years old.

2. Luteal insufficiency: Due to the shortening of the relatively fixed luteal phase, the menstrual cycle becomes shorter. This disease often occurs during the reproductive age.

3. Uterine diseases such as endometrial hypoplasia, destruction of part of the endometrium due to tuberculous lesions, and multiple rough curettages that damage the endometrium.

4. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding during menopause can lead to short menstrual cycles: so ovarian dysfunction is also a cause of short menstrual cycles.

5. Endocrine dysfunction. Due to hypopituitarism, the ovaries secrete insufficient estrogen, resulting in insufficient endometrial proliferation, a thinner endometrium, and less bleeding during shedding. Some patients may also experience a shortened menstrual cycle.
