Why is the vulva red and painful?

Sex education in our country is not well developed at present, and many people are ashamed to talk about sex, so many people know very little about their private parts. Redness and pain of the vulva is a common gynecological disease in women. Many women are too shy to seek help from their family members and doctors, which ultimately causes great harm to their health. Here is what causes the vulva to become red and painful?

1. Vaginal trichomoniasis: itching of the vulva and vagina, foamy leucorrhea, often accompanied by a special odor, and eczematous changes in the vulva after scratching.

2. Fungal vaginitis: itching of the vulva and vagina, flushing of the vulva, dregs-like leucorrhea with an odor. Scratching may cause eczematous changes of the vulva dermatitis.

3. Local skin uncleanness: Some women use toilet paper improperly, and the skin of the vulva is soaked by menstrual blood, vaginal secretions, and even urine, feces and sweat, which causes chronic inflammation of the local skin and causes vulva itching.

4. Skin diseases of the vulva: The skin lesions of tinea cruris often extend to the vulva, causing severe local itching.

5. Drug allergy: "Fixed drug rash" caused by sulfonamides or other drugs in women with allergic constitution often occurs at the junction of the skin and mucous membrane of the vulva. In addition to local itching, it may be complicated by erosion and exudation. Vulvar itching may also occur if allergic reactions and contact dermatitis occur when using drugs for vaginal washing or vaginal insertion.

6. Sexual allergy: It is an allergic reaction that occurs during sexual intercourse. There are people who are allergic to semen, condoms, and friction.

7. Viral infection: Genital warts mostly occur in the female vaginal wall, cervix and vulva, and also cause foul-smelling leucorrhea. .

The above mainly discusses seven pathological reasons, but in addition to these, wearing inappropriate clothes can also cause discomfort in the genitals. Therefore, it is recommended to wear breathable, comfortable and loose pants to reduce friction on the vulva. If the friction lasts for a long time, it will cause damage to the vulva, resulting in redness, swelling and pain.
