I have a lot of vaginal discharge after my period.

Everyone knows that leucorrhea is a substance that is normally secreted by the female genitals, but the amount of this substance is generally less. It is only secreted more before and after menstruation, and the color of the leucorrhea secreted before and after menstruation will also be different. If the amount of leucorrhea is normal and there is no special smell, it means that we do not have gynecological diseases. So why is there a lot of leucorrhea after menstruation?

Many female friends have reported that they do not have a lot of vaginal discharge on weekdays, but after their period, the amount of vaginal discharge increases unconsciously. Is this a normal phenomenon? Experts point out that whether leucorrhea is normal depends on factors such as the amount and smell. You can go to the hospital for a routine leucorrhea examination to rule out the possibility of gynecological diseases. Normal leucorrhea: milky white or colorless and transparent, sometimes sticky, with no odor. During adolescence, leucorrhea is affected by estrogen and undergoes cyclical changes, sometimes increasing and sometimes decreasing.

The leucorrhea is clear and abundant during ovulation, but less at other times. However, the increase in leucorrhea cannot be ruled out as being caused by disease. It is recommended to go to the hospital for a routine leucorrhea examination. Under normal circumstances, the vagina and vulva often have a small amount of secretions to keep them moist, which is called leucorrhea. It is composed of vaginal mucosal exudates, cervical glands and endometrial secretions, and contains vaginal epithelial exfoliated cells and white blood cells. Normal leucorrhea is white and odorless, and its quantity and quality are related to changes in the body's physiological condition. Common gynecological inflammation causes of abnormal leucorrhea, such as Trichomonas vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, bacterial vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc., must not be taken lightly. Foreign bodies in the vagina can cause increased vaginal discharge after menstruation

1. Leucorrhea containing blood is common in genital tumors, inflammation, and intrauterine contraceptive devices.

2. Depending on the amount of bleeding and the speed of bleeding, the leucorrhea can be dyed into different colors such as red, brown or black.

3. Abnormal milky white foamy leucorrhea accompanied by vulvar itching is mostly caused by Trichomonas vaginalis infection.

4. Abnormal leucorrhea that is like tofu dregs or curd-like and accompanied by severe itching of the vulva is often caused by vaginal yeast infection. Warm reminder: If you find abnormal changes in leucorrhea, you must go to the hospital for examination in time, and promptly discover and treat it, so as not to miss the best time to treat the disease and cause worsening inflammation.
