Can I be allergic to sperm?

Can I be allergic to sperm?

Sperm is secreted in the normal male body, and sperm is also an important criterion for a man's reproductive ability. Because when the two eggs combine to form a fertilized egg, they also rely on the male's sperm in addition to the female's egg. I believe everyone has heard that there are many different allergens in the world, and some people are even allergic to water. If a man and a woman have sex, will the woman be allergic to the man's sperm?

The earliest symptoms of semen allergy are congestion and edema of the vagina or perineum, sometimes involving the lips, eyelids, tongue and other parts, burning or stinging in the vagina, followed by itching of the whole body, papules or wheals. In severe cases, difficulty breathing, general fatigue, collapse, loss of consciousness, etc. may occur. Diagnosis is not difficult based on medical history and personal and family allergy history, combined with symptoms. However, due to the constraints of traditional concepts, people are unwilling to provide sexual advice, which can easily lead to missed diagnosis or misdiagnosis.

The main method for treating semen allergy abroad is currently to inject pure semen protein into the patient's body to eliminate the related symptoms, while in China, anti-allergic drugs and symptomatic treatment are mainly used.

1. Drug treatment

After intercourse, the woman should immediately squat to allow the semen to flow out, wash the perineum with warm water, and take oral anti-allergic drugs such as promethazine, astemizole, diphenhydramine, etc. The allergic symptoms will disappear quickly. The next time you have sex, you must wait until the allergic symptoms are completely eliminated, and take anti-allergic drugs half an hour before intercourse to avoid aggravating the condition.

2. Desensitization therapy

Let your wife gradually come into contact with semen so that her body will gradually adapt to the semen. After complete desensitization, you will never be allergic again. The method is to take anti-allergic drugs first, wear a condom during intercourse, and cut a small hole at the top of the condom to allow a small amount of semen to flow into the vagina. If no allergic reaction occurs, cut the small opening of the condom bigger and bigger until the allergic reaction no longer occurs without wearing condoms or taking anti-allergic drugs. During the desensitization period, contraceptive measures should be taken to avoid pregnancy.

To prevent semen allergy, you can take the following measures:

1. Use condoms: This is the simplest and most effective way to prevent women from semen allergy. Condoms can block the contact between semen and the mucosal cells of the female reproductive tract, and can also reduce the allergenicity of semen.

2. Use ointment to prevent allergies: Before sexual intercourse, apply a small amount of Fu Relaxing ointment or hydrocortisone ointment around the labia and vaginal opening to prevent or reduce local allergic reactions in the reproductive organs.

3. Take anti-allergic drugs before sexual intercourse: Take 25 mg of diphenhydramine, 25 mg of phenergan, or 1 tablet of astemizole orally about half an hour before sexual intercourse to prevent or reduce semen allergic reactions.

4. Women should urinate in time after sexual intercourse: After sexual intercourse, it is best for women to urinate immediately. They should squat for a while to allow the semen in the vagina to flow out of the body as much as possible. You can use warm water to rinse the vagina and vulva to wash away the semen.

5. If there are no symptoms such as redness, swelling, or itching, it should not be considered an allergic reaction and observation is recommended.

6. Taking calcium tablets: Taking calcium tablets also has a certain anti-allergic effect, and calcium can regulate allergic reactions.

7. Reduce the frequency of sexual intercourse.
