What is pregnancy preparation?

Having children is definitely a top priority for couples after they get married. Perhaps decades ago, couples would just want to have children after they got married without making any preparations. However, today's couples have to do some preparation before having a child, so that they can get pregnant more smoothly, which is in line with scientific principles. For young people who are not married, they don’t know what pregnancy preparation is. So, what is pregnancy preparation?

In simple terms, it means you are not pregnant yet and are preparing to have a baby. Preparing for pregnancy refers to the prerequisite preparations for a good pregnancy by pregnant women or their families. Pre-pregnancy conditioning is divided into two aspects: "body" and "mind". Expectant mothers should eat more folic acid, and expectant fathers should eat more foods rich in zinc, etc. Preparing for pregnancy is the key to a good pregnancy, but it is often the easiest to be overlooked. Compared with unexpected surprises, the expected baby is the crystallization of parents' love, the continuation of affection, and the sublimation of the soul. For children, reasonable pregnancy preparation can effectively improve their health and is a reflection of the responsibility of prospective parents towards their children.

Different seasons

Preparing for pregnancy in winter

1. Spiritual nourishment: A happy mood and a cheerful personality can not only enhance the body's immunity, but also promote the hematopoietic function of the bone marrow in the body's bones, making the skin rosy and the face shiny.

2. Sleep care: ensure adequate sleep, sufficient energy and physical strength, and have a regular daily routine, moderate entertainment, and a combination of work and rest. Expectant mothers should learn to live scientifically and develop a modern, scientific and healthy lifestyle. They should not stay up late, have picky diets, eat snacks, quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption, and not have sex during special physiological stages such as menstruation or the postpartum period.

3. Physical exercise: Regularly participate in physical exercise, such as aerobics, jogging, walking, playing ball, swimming, dancing, etc., to enhance physical strength and hematopoietic function.

4. Diet: Women should eat more nutritious foods that are rich in zinc-rich protein, "hematopoietic raw materials", essential trace elements such as iron, copper, folic acid and vitamin B12. Such as animal liver, kidney, blood, fish, shrimp, eggs, soy products, black sesame, red dates, peanuts and fresh vegetables and fruits.

Preparing for pregnancy in spring

1. Pay attention to maintaining a good mental state: the endocrine environment in which the fetus grows is closely related to the mother's mental state. Pregnant women should keep a good mood, be optimistic and open-minded, and have a stable mood.

It is beneficial to fetal growth and the development of the central nervous system. The climate in spring is changeable, which can easily interfere with the body's inherent physiological functions. If one's adaptability is poor, an imbalance between the body and the outside world may occur, leading to psychological confusion. Therefore, it is important to regulate emotions in spring.

2. Get more sun exposure: Appropriate sunbathing is beneficial to the absorption of calcium and phosphorus and the growth of fetal bones, and can prevent calf cramps caused by calcium deficiency during pregnancy. In addition, pregnant women with allergies are reminded that the pollen content in the air increases in spring, and they should seek medical attention promptly if allergic reactions occur.

3. Be alert to viral infections: For women who are preparing to become pregnant, proper exercise can enhance their physical fitness. However, it should be noted that when doing outdoor sports, you should try to avoid crowded places to reduce the chance of virus infection. The temperature difference is large and the wind is strong in spring, so please pay attention to wind protection and keep warm when going out.

4. Scientific dietary folic acid supplementation: Folic acid is a water-soluble B vitamin. Pregnant women’s demand for folic acid is four times higher than that of normal people. The early pregnancy is a critical period for the differentiation of fetal organ systems and the formation of the placenta. Cell growth and division are very active. Folic acid deficiency at this time can lead to fetal malformations, such as neural tube defects, which occur at an incidence of about 3.8‰ in China, including anencephaly and spina bifida. It may also cause early spontaneous abortion.
