What to do if women have amenorrhea

Amenorrhea is divided into physiological amenorrhea and pathological amenorrhea. If amenorrhea occurs at a certain age, for example, between 45 and 55 years old, it is a normal physiological phenomenon. However, if this happens before, it is often related to bad living habits and some diseases. In order to avoid this phenomenon, we must strengthen good conditioning in daily life. Let's take a look at this aspect.

How to avoid amenorrhea

1. Maintain a regular sex life

Regular sexual life is a benign stimulation that can balance the body's endocrine system and better meet physiological needs, thereby promoting the recovery of menstruation and making menstruation regular.

2. Use scraping therapy

Take Dazhui, Jianjing, Gaohuang and Shentang points, and scrape Qihai to Guanyuan, Xuehai, Sanyinjiao, 5 times. In case of blood deficiency, scrape the spleen point, Zhangmen point and Zusanli point. In case of blood stasis, scrape the liver point and Taichong point. Heavy scraping of the main acupoints and the liver shu and taichong meridian points for about 3 minutes; light scraping of other meridian points for 3 to 5 minutes.

3. Keep a happy mood

Avoid mental stress and adverse stimulation to prevent qi and blood disorders that affect the normal menstruation. Engage in appropriate physical exercise and physical labor to strengthen your physical fitness and ensure the normal circulation of qi and blood. Obese people should also control their diet and eat less sweets and fat-rich foods to eliminate the effects of excessive fat on endocrine metabolism and promote the resumption of menstruation.

4. Adjust your eating habits

Do not be picky or biased in your diet. Eat more high-protein foods such as eggs, milk, lean meat, fish, turtle, oysters, shrimp, etc. as well as vegetables and fruits to ensure adequate intake of nutrients. Actively treat acute and chronic diseases throughout the body, especially gastrointestinal diseases, anemia and tuberculosis, to promote digestion and absorption and reduce consumption. Through the above measures, malnourished amenorrhea patients can resume menstruation.

5. Reasonable work and rest time

Physiological amenorrhea occurs more frequently among working women because they neglect their regular work and rest schedules in order to focus on work. Staying up late for a long time and irregular eating habits disrupt the body's biological clock and endocrine balance, thereby affecting the function of the ovarian-pituitary-hypothalamic axis and leading to amenorrhea. Therefore, make sure you have a reasonable schedule and avoid overwork, and soon your "old friend" will come back to you.

6. Treatment of the cause

Find the organic disease that causes amenorrhea and give appropriate treatment. For example, tuberculous endometritis is treated with anti-tuberculosis drugs. Patients with intrauterine adhesions should have their uterine cavity dilated and an IUD placed to prevent recurrence of adhesions. After the diagnosis of pituitary or ovarian tumors is confirmed, the treatment plan is determined based on the location, size, and nature of the tumor, and surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or other comprehensive measures may be selected.

7. Estrogen and progesterone replacement therapy

For women with congenital ovarian dysplasia, or whose ovarian function is suppressed or destroyed leading to functional failure, exogenous ovarian hormone replacement therapy can be used. These patients lack normal follicles and oocytes and do not secrete sex hormones. If they are given artificial cyclical therapy with estrogen or estrogen and progesterone, it can correct the patients' physiological and psychological state of estrogen deficiency, promote a certain degree of development of reproductive organs and secondary sexual characteristics, improve sexual life, and may lead to cyclical withdrawal bleeding that resembles menstruation.
