Does it hurt to remove stitches after a normal birth?

Having children is very important for married women, because the first thing to do after marriage is to get pregnant and have children, so they should prepare in advance and adjust their bodies. The baby will be born around ten months into the pregnancy. At this time, the method of delivery is also very critical. In most cases, pregnant women still prefer natural delivery because it does not require surgery. So, does it hurt to remove stitches after a normal birth?

Generally, the stitches will be removed in a week. It is painless. Apply a little iodine to help disinfect. Pay attention to walking around appropriately, but try not to get wet. Wipe it clean with a tissue after each urination to avoid infection.

Benefit 1: Quick recovery after childbirth.

My best friend had a caesarean section, and she stayed in the hospital for seven days after the section. She had to get out of bed and move around on the third day. With such a big wound, she felt like her legs and feet were not her own and she couldn't move at all. Going to the toilet was even more painful. She needed help from others to take care of the baby and herself. It took her about ten days to recover and move freely.

But it is different with a natural birth. You can get out of bed and move around on the same day. Although I experienced the pain of opening my fingers during childbirth, fortunately, I can move around and take care of the baby after giving birth. I stopped having lochia in about 2 weeks after giving birth and returned to normal.

Benefit 2: Few sequelae.

I hear many mothers complain about the many aftereffects after caesarean sections, especially back pain. They can’t even walk for a while while holding their baby. It’s very difficult to bend over and do work in daily life. They can’t help but sigh that caesarean sections are so painful. It’s better for us to have a natural birth. I didn’t have any aftereffects after giving birth, and my figure recovered quickly.

Benefit three: The baby has good resistance.

It is said that babies born naturally have better resistance than babies born by caesarean section, especially in terms of lung function. This is because the baby is squeezed when passing through the birth canal, and the lung function is well restored. Babies born by caesarean section are relatively poor in this respect. However, this varies from person to person, and not all babies have better resistance to caesarean section.

Benefit 4: There are fewer dietary taboos during natural childbirth.

On the day of my normal delivery, my family stewed chicken soup and pork rib soup for me to replenish my energy. Giving birth took a lot of energy and blood, so I had to eat some tonic food right away to replenish my strength and increase my resistance. But it’s different for caesarean sections. I heard that women who have undergone caesarean sections cannot eat these tonic foods after delivery. They must eat light foods and cannot eat raw, cold, or spicy foods, as this is not conducive to the recovery of the wound.
