Married for seven months and still not pregnant

Married for seven months and still not pregnant

If you haven't gotten pregnant after seven months of marriage, you will be very anxious. At this time, you will worry that there may be some problems in your body that caused this situation. In fact, you should go to the hospital for a detailed physical examination as soon as possible, so that you can more accurately determine whether you have infertility and receive timely treatment.

(I) Female infertility factors

1. Ovulation disorders

Anovulation is often caused by dysfunction of the hypothalamic pituitary ovarian axis, systemic diseases, ovarian lesions, etc.

2. Fallopian tube factors

The most common cause of infertility is fallopian tube factors, such as fallopian tube inflammation and abnormal fallopian tube development.

3. Uterine factors

Uterine hypoplasia, submucosal fibroids, specific or nonspecific endometrial inflammation, intrauterine adhesions and poor endometrial secretory response can cause the fertilized egg to fail to implant or early miscarriage after implantation.

4. Cervical factors

When the estrogen level in the body is low or the cervix is inflamed, the nature and quantity of cervical mucus changes, affecting the motility of sperm and the number of sperm entering the uterine cavity. Cervical polyps, cervical stenosis, etc. can cause sperm to pass through obstacles and cause infertility.

5. Vaginal factors

Congenital absence of vagina, vaginal septum, hymen occlusion, and vaginal stenosis caused by various reasons may affect the entry of sperm. Severe vaginal inflammation shortens the survival time of sperm and causes infertility.

6. Immune factors

The production of anti-sperm antibodies in the cervical mucus of infertile women or the presence of zona pellucida autoantibodies in the serum both hinder the normal combination of sperm and egg.

(II) Male infertility factors

1. Abnormal semen

Abnormal semen refers to the absence of sperm or too few sperm, reduced motility, and abnormal morphology. Common causes include congenital developmental abnormalities, systemic chronic wasting diseases, etc.

2. Sperm transport is blocked

It is mostly caused by inflammation that leads to blockage of the vas deferens, hindering the passage of sperm. Men with impotence or premature ejaculation often cannot get sperm into the vagina.

3. Immune factors

The male's body produces antibodies against his own sperm, or the ejaculated sperm agglutinates itself and cannot pass through the cervical mucus.

4. Endocrine dysfunction

Such as hyperthyroidism, hyperadrenocortical function, hypopituitarism, etc.
