Leucorrhea has a fermented smell

Leucorrhea is a normal secretion for all women, but different people have different symptoms. Some people's leucorrhea has no smell, but is only secreted into the underwear and vulva. As long as you pay more attention to cleaning it every day and keep the area dry, you can prevent infection. However, some people's leucorrhea has a fermented and sour smell, and even a smell of alcohol. What is going on?

What causes leucorrhea odor

1. Fungal vaginitis: The leucorrhea is yellow or white, typically tofu dregs-like, and has a foul odor. Candidal vaginitis is a common and frequently occurring gynecological disease, which is more common in young girls, pregnant women, and diabetic patients. It is currently gradually becoming a younger age group.

2. Pathogen infection: Using contaminated sanitary products in daily life allows pathogens to enter the reproductive tract through the vaginal opening, causing infection and increased leucorrhea. Therefore, in daily life, we should pay attention to personal hygiene and keep clean.

3. Trichomonas vaginitis: Trichomonas vaginitis will cause an increase in leucorrhea, accompanied by a foul odor, and vulvar itching. It is very easy for sexual partners to be infected with each other. During treatment, both men and women must be treated at the same time to prevent cross infection and achieve complete cure.

4. Cervical erosion: The leucorrhea is yellow, has an odor, and is purulent. Childbirth trauma, changes in sex hormones or cervical inflammation caused by sexual activity may all lead to cervical erosion, increased leucorrhea with an odor. A small number of women may experience cervical erosion without any cause, which is called "congenital cervical erosion".

It should be noted that not only should you pay attention to the odor of your vaginal discharge, but you should also pay attention if you find that the amount and color of your vaginal discharge have changed. These may also be caused by gynecological diseases and will affect women's physical health. You should go to the hospital for treatment in time. Never take medicine on your own. This will not only delay the disease, but also have a counterproductive effect. It is best to prescribe the right medicine and let the doctor diagnose it.
