Pregnancy leucorrhea is red but not like blood

In the early stages of pregnancy, women also experience some physiological changes, which are also a normal reflection of pregnancy. For example, some changes in vaginal secretions during pregnancy may not be clear to everyone. Every woman has leucorrhea. If it is normal leucorrhea, the woman will be healthy immediately, and abnormal vaginal discharge will become the shadow of gynecological disease. So, is it normal for vaginal discharge to be red and not look like blood during pregnancy?

Is it normal to have brown vaginal discharge in early pregnancy?

1. Fetal factors

(1) Threatened abortion, which is manifested by bleeding and abdominal pain in the early stages of pregnancy. Generally, during the threatened abortion stage, vaginal bleeding is less and abdominal pain is mild. If there is no abnormality in the development of the embryo, the bleeding will stop immediately after tocolysis treatment and you can become pregnant again.

(2) Ectopic pregnancy, also known as ectopic pregnancy. When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, vaginal bleeding usually occurs about 40 days after the menstruation stops, often accompanied by dull pain, distension, and heaviness in the lower abdomen.

(3) Hydatidiform mole and bleeding in pregnancy with hydatidiform mole occur later than miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, usually around March.

2. Pregnant mother factors

If the vaginal discharge is brown in the early stages of pregnancy, you should also consider that the mother may suffer from vaginitis, cervical erosion, cervical polyps, uterine wall disease, tumors, etc.

Changes in vaginal discharge during early pregnancy

One of the changes in vaginal discharge during early pregnancy is an increase in volume. During pregnancy, most pregnant women will find that their female secretions continue to increase. This is because during pregnancy, your body's estrogen levels will continue to rise, and the amount of vaginal discharge will increase as your body's estrogen levels increase.

Excessive vaginal discharge is also considered by some pregnant women as a sign of pregnancy. However, not every pregnant woman's vaginal discharge increases in the early stages of pregnancy. Some people even have very little female secretion. Therefore, the change of leucorrhea in early pregnancy should not become the criterion for you to judge whether you are pregnant. If you haven't taken a pregnancy test yet, it's best to go to a reputable pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test strip and then check it at home. Compared with observing the changes in vaginal discharge in early pregnancy, the accuracy of early pregnancy test strips is higher.
