Symptoms of cervical congestion

Symptoms of cervical congestion

When cervical congestion is not serious at the beginning, there will be no obvious symptoms. In this case, patients will not be able to receive treatment in the first time. Therefore, many patients will wait until their condition is very serious before going for examination and treatment. Most patients will feel abnormal pain in their cervix, and the pain will be unbearable, and may even be accompanied by edema.

The main manifestations of cervical congestion are cervical congestion and edema, ectropion of the cervical mucosa, and a large amount of purulent secretions overflowing from the cervical canal. Pathological sections showed extensive infiltration of polymorphonuclear leukocytes and lymphocytes in the mucosa and interstitium. Inflammation can also affect the lumen of the gland through the epithelium, causing epithelial shedding, expansion of the lumen and filling with a large amount of purulent secretions.

Cervical leukoplakia refers to a grayish white opaque plaque-like lesion that appears in the vaginal part of the cervix. Most scholars believe that the white spots seen with the naked eye clinically only indicate varying degrees of epithelial hyperplasia. With the in-depth study of cervical precancerous lesions and early cancer and the widespread use of colposcopy, cervical leukoplakia has gradually attracted attention.

Cervical cancer

Cervical cancer refers to a malignant tumor that occurs at the junction of the squamous epithelial cells in the vaginal part of the cervix or transitional zone and the columnar epithelial cells in the endocervical canal. Its morbidity and mortality rate rank first among all malignant tumors suffered by women. Its most common age is 40 to 59 years old, and there are 131,500 new cases discovered in my country each year. Its onset is related to factors such as early marriage, early childbearing, multiple births, cervical erosion, frequent sexual intercourse, smegma and sex hormone imbalance.

Cervical cyst

Cervical cyst is a type of chronic cervicitis and a common gynecological disease. Women with cervical cysts will mainly experience increased vaginal discharge, which is mucopurulent. The stimulation of vaginal discharge can cause vulvar itching and burning sensation, and may also experience symptoms such as intermenstrual bleeding and bleeding after sexual intercourse.

Cervical hypertrophy is a type of chronic cervicitis. Inflammatory changes caused by pathogens infecting the cervical mucosa. The pathogens that cause it include mycoplasma, chlamydia, bacteria, and viruses. Cervical secretions should be examined to confirm the diagnosis. If necessary, a cervical TCT examination can be performed to rule out early cervical cancer. Simple cervical hypertrophy will not affect pregnancy, but severe cervicitis can cause endometritis, salpingo-oophoritis, fallopian tube adhesions and blockage, leading to infertility.
