People should have a correct sitting posture, whether at work or at home, and should avoid shaking legs and hunching over. Women in particular should pay attention to pelvic deformation. Since the pelvis is located at the bottom of the spine, it is easy to be deformed by various bad postures, and even the symptoms of pelvic rotation are more obvious, which is what we call dislocation. When such symptoms occur, you should actively recover in a timely manner and choose targeted methods to improve them. Since the pelvis is the base of the spine and is supported by the two lower limbs, various poor standing or sitting postures in daily life can cause the pelvis to tilt or rotate. We simply call this rotational displacement pelvic rotation. Of course, pelvic rotation can also be congenital, that is, the pelvis rotates and shifts in the mother's birth canal during birth. In people with pelvic rotation, tense muscles and protruding bony objects can generally be felt at the 4th to 5th lumbar vertebrae and from the sacrum to the posterior superior iliac spine. This is mostly caused by sacroiliac joint dislocation, lumbar herniation, or lumbar posterior joint dislocation. Symptoms include: legs are of different lengths, and often have inward or outward rotation; tight muscles in the buttocks and back or sides of the thighs; and low back pain, similar to lumbar muscle strain. The most important thing about low back pain is pelvic tilt. There are three major groups of muscles that affect pelvic balance. The first group is the abdominal muscles and the back muscles. The second group is the iliopsoas and gluteal muscles between the pelvis and thigh. The third group is the quadratus lumborum muscles that connect the pelvis to the spine on both sides. These muscle groups are essential for supporting the lumbar vertebrae, playing a dual role of both counteracting each other to maintain balance and supporting each other to reduce local pressure. The balance is easily disrupted by poor personal posture and improper force patterns. Once the opposing muscles become unbalanced, pelvic tilt occurs and low back pain becomes unavoidable. |
