Normal progesterone levels at 4 weeks of pregnancy

Whether the physical condition and pregnancy status of the pregnant woman are normal can be judged by whether the progesterone value is normal. Therefore, the progesterone value is checked at the beginning of pregnancy. By calculating the progesterone value, it can be judged whether the pregnancy status is normal. In order to give everyone a more intuitive understanding of the progesterone value, the following is an introduction to the normal progesterone value at 4 weeks of pregnancy.

Normal progesterone levels at 4 weeks of pregnancy

The normal level of progesterone during 3-4 weeks of pregnancy is 500-10000.

Women's progesterone levels are usually checked on the third day after menstruation. If women take regular care after pregnancy, if there is any reason, they can replenish and adjust in time to ensure the normal growth and development of the fetus. Moreover, luteinizing copper can only be supplemented to maintain the pregnancy when the progesterone level is low. If there is a problem with the test tube embryo itself, there is no need to maintain the pregnancy. Nowadays, many female friends suffer from infertility due to problems with progesterone levels.

The time for checking corpus luteum copper is generally on the third day after a woman's menstruation. If a woman takes regular care after pregnancy, if any problems occur, she can supplement and adjust in time to ensure the normal and healthy growth of the fetus. Only when a woman's progesterone level is low can she take luteal copper supplements to maintain her pregnancy.

The physiological decrease in progesterone levels is mainly common in progesterone conversion disorder and poor function, polycystic ovary syndrome, anovulatory function imbalance, abnormal uterine bleeding, severe pregnancy-induced hypertension syndrome, pregnancy-induced placental dysfunction, fetal language development delay and fetal death.

Do pregnant women need to fast to check progesterone levels?

It is not necessary to fast on an empty stomach to check the progesterone level. The progesterone level test is done by extracting the expectant mother's venous blood. Since the composition of the progesterone level is not affected by meals, the progesterone level test does not require fasting. In addition, you can drink more water when testing the progesterone level. Generally, after checking in the morning, the results can be obtained at noon. In the entire menstrual cycle of a normal non-pregnant woman, the estrogen level is the lowest before ovulation, begins to rise after ovulation, and reaches the highest level during the follicular phase. Before ovulation, the progesterone level in the blood should be less than 2 ng/ml, and after ovulation it should be higher than 5 ng/ml. If you get pregnant, the estrogen level will initially remain at the level of the follicular phase, and when the embryo is produced, the growth hormone secreted by the embryo will immediately increase the progesterone level in the pregnant woman's body to 100-200 ng/ml, which is dozens to thousands of times that of a non-pregnant woman.
