What are the causes of ectopic pregnancy?

The real name of ectopic pregnancy is ectopic pregnancy, which refers to the phenomenon that the fertilized egg is outside the uterus. There are many manifestations of ectopic pregnancy. If the fertilized egg implants in the ovary, it is clinically called ovarian ectopic pregnancy. Once ovarian ectopic pregnancy occurs, menstruation will stop, and then bleeding will occur, accompanied by abdominal pain, dizziness and other symptoms. So what are the causes of ovarian ectopic pregnancy?

Causes of ectopic pregnancy:

1. The fallopian tube is compressed by surrounding tumors such as uterine fibroids or ovarian tumors, which sometimes affects the patency of the fallopian tube lumen and hinders the movement of the fertilized egg. Symptoms can increase the likelihood of a fertilized egg implanting in the fallopian tube. Young women of childbearing age should go to the hospital for a gynecological examination before preparing for pregnancy to rule out the above diseases and avoid the occurrence of ectopic pregnancy.

2. Incorrect contraceptive methods, such as intrauterine device placement and birth control pills, may increase the incidence of ectopic pregnancy. We remind everyone not to take birth control pills casually, and women with intrauterine devices should have regular check-ups.

3. Women who have had a tubal pregnancy are more likely to have another tubal pregnancy. Therefore, reducing pelvic inflammatory disease and preventing the occurrence of fallopian tube pregnancy is the fundamental way to prevent ectopic pregnancy.

4. Most ectopic pregnancies are caused by salpingitis. Repeated miscarriages in young women often lead to salpingitis, which results in blocked or incomplete blockage of the fallopian tubes, affecting the normal movement of the fertilized egg in the fallopian tubes, causing it to be blocked and implanted there. The incidence of ectopic pregnancy increases significantly in women with a history of multiple abortions. Women should care about their health, pay attention to menstrual hygiene, and strictly practice contraception.

The clinical manifestations of ovarian pregnancy are very similar to those of fallopian tube pregnancy, and the main symptoms are also amenorrhea, abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. The main causes are: 1. Impaired ovulation and pelvic inflammation. 2. The function of the fallopian tube is damaged. Due to congenital or other reasons, the fallopian tube produces reverse peristalsis, resulting in abnormal delivery of the fertilized egg. 3. The production of decidua on the surface of the ovary is conducive to the implantation of the fertilized egg. Removing part of the ovary generally does not affect future ovulation.

Ectopic ovarian pregnancy is indeed rare, so you must pay attention to this problem. The main symptoms of ectopic ovarian pregnancy are amenorrhea, abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. Rupture can cause massive intra-abdominal bleeding and even shock. Ovarian ectopic pregnancy can be treated with ovarian fenestration and suture. The principle of treatment for ovarian ectopic pregnancy is to preserve the ovaries and find out the cause of the ectopic pregnancy and eliminate it at the same time during the surgery. If you get pregnant again, you must do a good job of pre-pregnancy check-up, including the ovaries and fallopian tubes.
