Dysfunctional uterine bleeding

Dysfunctional uterine bleeding

The menstrual cycle refers to the time interval between two menstrual periods, that is, the time from the first day of this menstrual period to the first day of the next menstrual period; the menstrual period refers to the number of days the menstrual period lasts; and the menstrual volume refers to the total amount of blood produced during one menstrual period. Abnormal uterine bleeding due to functional imbalance is a common gynecological disease, and patients must receive timely treatment and recuperation. Let’s discuss what are the medical treatments for imbalanced uterine bleeding?

Multifunctional abnormal uterine bleeding, commonly known as functional uterine bleeding, is a non-organic disease caused by abnormal neuroendocrine abnormalities caused by abnormal regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-uterine-ovarian (HPO) axis. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding is a common gynecological disease, accounting for about 10% of outpatient gynecological patients. In clinical medicine, this type of disease is divided into two types, namely anovulatory functional uterine bleeding and ovulatory functional uterine bleeding. The former often occurs in women during puberty and menopause. Abnormal uterine bleeding during puberty is caused by maldevelopment or delayed development of the neuroendocrine nerve center. The functional uterine bleeding in menopausal women is mainly due to the decreased function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis, which is caused by the continuous decline of the ovaries.
