Is it harmful to do color Doppler ultrasound when you are pregnant?

Color ultrasound examination is a common method nowadays. It can accurately detect many diseases in the body. Color ultrasound is a good helper for doctors. When a woman becomes pregnant, she will also undergo color ultrasound examinations, and she will go to the hospital regularly for color ultrasound examinations at different stages of the pregnancy. Although color ultrasound examination is a necessary examination, the number of times it is done must be controlled, otherwise it will cause some harm to the body.

Is it harmful to do color Doppler ultrasound when you are pregnant?

1. Pregnant women can have B-ultrasound. B-ultrasound detection of fetal malformations has many advantages: it can directly observe the state of internal organs; it is non-traumatic and painless to the human body; it can help locate the placenta; it can clearly display the anatomical structure of human soft tissue; it is simple and accurate, etc. The B-ultrasound currently used in clinical practice emits a sound intensity of less than 10mW/cm2 from its probe, and the ultrasound examination usually takes only 5-10 minutes, with the detection time for each organ being even shorter. Therefore, B-ultrasound examination poses little harm to the fetus and will not affect its physical development.

2. Therefore, pregnant women do not need to be afraid of B-ultrasound examinations during pregnancy. Timely B-ultrasound examinations are an important means to ensure the normal development of the fetus. During the entire pregnancy, an ultrasound examination should be performed once in the early, middle and late stages. Some pregnant mothers are unclear about the purpose of B-ultrasound. In order to find out the gender of the fetus, they go to multiple hospitals for repeated B-ultrasound examinations, which is not good for both mother and baby. Studies have shown that if the B-ultrasound time exceeds 20 minutes, it will have irreversible adverse effects on the fetus. Therefore, pregnant women should undergo appropriate B-ultrasound examinations according to the doctor's requirements and control the number of B-ultrasound examinations.

What not to eat during early pregnancy

1. Fruits that cannot be eaten:

Lychees and longans can easily cause dry stools. Persimmons can easily cause gastric stones. Watermelon, honeydew melon, cantaloupe, and peaches can easily cause diarrhea. Jackfruit and durian can easily cause loss of appetite. Fresh bayberry can easily cause excessive stomach acid.

2. Beverages that cannot be consumed:

Strong tea, coffee, carbonated drinks, cold drinks

3. Spinach.

People have always believed that spinach is rich in iron and has the function of replenishing blood, so it is regarded as a good vegetable for preventing anemia during pregnancy. In fact, spinach does not contain much iron, but contains a lot of oxalic acid. Oxalic acid can affect the absorption of zinc and calcium. The calcium and zinc content in pregnant women decreases, affecting the growth and development of the fetus.

4. Hawthorn.

Pregnant women prefer to eat sour things, so hawthorn becomes the fruit of choice. Hawthorn has a stimulating effect on the uterus. If pregnant women eat too much, it may cause uterine contraction and lead to miscarriage, so they should eat less.

5. Canned food.

A certain amount of additives are added to canned foods during the production process, such as artificial synthetic colors, flavors, preservatives, etc. Although these additives have little effect on healthy adults, excessive intake of them by pregnant women is harmful to their health. In addition, the nutritional value of canned food is not high. After high-temperature processing, the vitamins and other nutrients in the food have been destroyed to a certain extent.
