What is habitual miscarriage?

Habitual abortion is a very harmful condition for women's body and mind. There are many reasons for this condition, such as abnormal endocrine system, uterine abnormality, immune factors, chromosome factors, etc. Another major reason is the personal factors of men, such as poor sperm quality, lack of vitality, etc. So what is habitual abortion?

First, what is habitual miscarriage? In medicine, repeated miscarriage is also called recurrent miscarriage or habitual miscarriage. Habitual miscarriage refers to a phenomenon in which women of childbearing age suffer miscarriage three or more times in a row before 28 weeks of pregnancy when the fetus weighs less than 1000g, and the embryo automatically stops developing and suffers miscarriage. For pregnant mothers-to-be, the harm of infertility caused by repeated miscarriage is doubled. I was told that I was pregnant, but then I found out that the fetus had stopped growing. The pain of gaining and losing at the same time was a double torture, both physically and mentally.

Second, there are many factors that lead to habitual miscarriage, including endocrine abnormalities: luteal insufficiency, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, adrenal cortex insufficiency, etc. These lesions will affect women's ovarian function and are also one of the causes of habitual miscarriage. Uterine abnormalities: including uterine fibroids, uterine malformations or intrauterine adhesions, endometrial polyps and other diseases. These diseases often affect pregnancy and may cause women with the disease to be unable to get pregnant, or find it difficult to keep the pregnancy even if they do get pregnant.

Third, immune factors: Studies in recent years have shown that immune factors are also an important cause of habitual abortion. If there are problems with blocking antibodies or antiphospholipid antibodies, habitual miscarriage will occur. Chromosomal abnormalities: Medical researchers believe that chromosomal abnormalities are a common cause of early miscarriage. If both husband and wife have chromosomal abnormalities, it will affect the chromosomes of the embryo. According to the natural law of "survival of the fittest", embryos with chromosomal abnormalities often cannot continue to develop and will degenerate and atrophy in the early stages of embryonic development, manifesting as early cessation of embryonic development. Male factors: Factors such as high sperm deformity rate and low sperm motility will directly affect the quality of the embryo, and then affect the development of the embryo, leading to recurrent miscarriage in women.

What should female patients with habitual miscarriage pay attention to in their daily life? Life rules: In life, pregnant women should develop good living habits. You should have a regular schedule, maintain sleep, and engage in appropriate activities so that you have sufficient energy to cope with various situations during pregnancy. Reasonable diet: Pregnant women should pay attention to choosing foods that are rich in various vitamins and trace elements and easy to digest, such as various vegetables, fruits, beans, eggs, meat, etc. In addition, pregnant women should never try foods that they should avoid.
