What happens after a blood vessel is ligated?

Blood vessels supply organs with oxygen and nutrients, and also serve as pathways for removing metabolic toxins. If a woman's uterine blood vessels are ligated, it will cause uterine ischemia and may also lead to loss of uterine function. This can be determined by analyzing the ligated blood vessels, and it is usually not conducive to natural pregnancy. Many people don’t understand what will happen after a blood vessel is ligated. What will happen after a blood vessel is ligated? Let’s take a look at it next.

1. What happens after blood vessel ligation ?

Blood vessels are the pathways through which organs are supplied with nutrients and oxygen, and through which metabolic waste is removed. If the blood vessels of the uterus are ligated, it will cause uterine ischemia, and in severe cases it will lead to loss of uterine function. In this case, the judgment should be made based on a specific analysis of the ligated blood vessels. It is generally not conducive to normal pregnancy.

2. What should women pay attention to before having a vasectomy?

1. Those who undergo female sterilization surgery should be in a good mood and eliminate any mental worries. Wash the abdomen with warm water to keep it clean and reduce the chance of postoperative infection.

2. Ask patients who have undergone tubal ligation about their medical history in detail. Note any history of abdominal surgery. Get good preoperative counseling for tubal ligation. Both husband and wife were informed and signed a consent form.

3. Perform physical examinations on patients undergoing tubal ligation, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, heart and lung auscultation, and gynecological examinations.

4. Do not eat 4 hours before surgery to avoid vomiting caused by traction and stimulation of internal organs during surgery. You should empty your bladder before going on the operating table to facilitate the surgical operation. If necessary, sedatives should be given half an hour to one hour before tubal ligation.

5. For normal delivery, ligation can be performed on the first day after delivery. For difficult delivery or infection during delivery, the patient should be hospitalized for 3 days for observation without any abnormality before undergoing surgery. For those who have not changed their menstruation during breastfeeding, diagnostic curettage should be performed before ligation.

6. Check the blood routine, urine routine and blood clotting time of patients who have undergone tubal ligation. Perform liver function, hepatitis B virus surface antigen and other tests on patients who have undergone tubal ligation. Chest X-ray if necessary. Medical records should be completed before tubal ligation.

7. The best time for tubal ligation is within 3-7 days after the menstruation ends. The harm to the body is the least at this time, and recovery is the fastest. It can recover through the body's own regulation in a short period of time, and the possibility of pregnancy can also be ruled out.

3. Reminder

After mid-term induced labor and curettage, artificial abortion, or IUD removal, ligation can be performed immediately (or within one or two days).
