What department should a woman go to for breast pain

For many female friends, they are often very worried because of chest pain and don’t know what the problem is. So everyone must know how to treat chest pain. First, we need to go to the hospital to see a thoracic department to see if there is a problem in the chest cavity or in the breast. These are the causes of chest pain.

Why does my chest hurt?

For female friends who experience chest pain, they must want to know what the pain is. Now let me tell you what chest pain is.

1. Chest pain caused by breast hyperplasia

The swelling and pain in this situation does not change with the menstrual cycle, has no fixed time, and lasts longer. These women are mostly around 40 to 45 years old, slightly older than those with physiological pain. The pain is limited to the breast and is relatively shallow.

2. Pain caused by increased pressure

Mental state can also affect hormone secretion and menstruation, leading to conditions such as breast hyperplasia. When you are too busy at work and under too much pressure, you will not only experience menstrual disorders but also breast pain.

3. Chest pain caused by mastitis

This pain is very obvious and unbearable, and is accompanied by redness, swelling and heat. It mostly occurs in primiparas within 1 to 2 months after delivery. It can be pain caused by inflammation and infection due to milk stasis and blockage, or it can be pain caused by bacterial infection due to nipple cracks.

4. Chest pain caused by cervical spondylosis

Cervical spondylosis can cause chest pain, which is due to cervical vertebrae degeneration and involvement of cervical nerve roots. This pain is often chronic and unilateral. The degree of pain is often related to the position of the neck. In addition to breast tenderness, there is also tenderness in the pectoralis major muscle, as well as pain and discomfort in the neck, occipital bone, shoulders and arms. X-rays often show signs of degenerative changes, but there are no abnormalities in the breast itself.

What causes chest pain?

Chest pain, I believe many female friends have experienced this phenomenon. So why does chest pain occur? I believe this is something that many female friends don’t know. Now let me tell you about the causes of chest pain.

1. Breast pain during puberty

Early breast pain in girls usually occurs between the ages of 9 and 13. At this time, girls' breasts begin to develop and they will feel slight pain. After menarche, the swelling and pain will disappear on its own as the breasts mature.

2. Premenstrual breast pain

Many women experience breast fullness, hardness, and tenderness before menstruation. In severe cases, the breasts may become swollen and painful even with slight vibration or collision. This is caused by increased estrogen levels in the body before menstruation, breast hyperplasia, and tissue edema. The above changes may disappear after menstruation.

3. Breast pain during lactation

Some women experience breast pain around day 40 of pregnancy due to the placenta and villi secreting large amounts of estrogen, progesterone and prolactin, which causes the mammary glands to enlarge and the pain can last throughout the pregnancy.
