Why are boys often born in abnormal positions?

Most parents know that pregnancy is a very difficult thing, especially when the fetus is moving in the uterus, which can cause the mother all kinds of trouble and sometimes even refuse to cooperate with the mother's prenatal checkups. During prenatal checkups, it is often necessary to check whether the fetal position is correct, because the baby's position in the mother's womb will affect future delivery. Malposition of the baby often occurs when a boy is conceived, which is actually somewhat of a coincidence. Malposition of the fetus has nothing to do with gender. Here is a specific explanation of why all boys have malposition of the fetus.

The occurrence of malposition of the fetus is mainly related to the following factors: the size of the fetus in weeks of gestation; pelvic stenosis, placenta previa, macrosomia, etc., which hinder the fetal position; the size and implantation position of the placenta in the uterus, loose abdominal muscles of multiparous women, multiple pregnancies, polyhydramnios, loose abdominal wall of multiparous women, etc., which make the fetus's range of movement in the uterine cavity too large; the umbilical cord is too short, whether there is an intrauterine tumor or uterine malformation, fetal malformation, multiple births, too little amniotic fluid, etc., which make the fetus's range of movement in the uterine cavity too small.

What to do if the fetus is in an abnormal position:

1. Correction of knee-chest position exercise

Pregnant women should empty their bladder, loosen their belt, lie on a hard bed, support themselves with their knees on the bed, hips raised high, thighs perpendicular to the bed, and chest as close to the bed as possible. Do it once in the morning and once in the evening every day, each time for 15 minutes, for 1 week, and then go to the hospital for a follow-up check.

2. Doctors perform rotation for pregnant women

If the fetus has not turned at 32 to 34 weeks of pregnancy, the doctor will consider performing an artificial external rotation of the fetus to turn the fetus over so that the pregnant woman can give birth smoothly. When performing an artificial external rotation of the fetus, drugs to relax the uterus are usually given. When performed by experienced doctors, the success rate is about 60%. However, if the pregnant woman has had a previous caesarean section, it is not recommended to perform an external rotation of the fetus. In addition, the amount of amniotic fluid must be moderate, the fetus's back must be on both sides, the mother's weight must be moderate, and the fetus's buttocks must not enter the deep pelvis. External fetal rotation has certain risks. During operation, it may cause umbilical cord entanglement or placental abruption.

3. There are successful precedents of acupuncture treatment for malposition of fetus in my country

Use acupuncture at the Zhiyin point to treat malposition of the fetus once a day, each time for 15 to 20 minutes, and 5 times as a course of treatment. It is suitable for pregnant women diagnosed with breech presentation, transverse presentation, and oblique presentation during gynecological examination.
