What are the knowledge and skills about childbirth?

Natural childbirth and cesarean section are more common ways of childbirth. In recent years, more and more women have chosen natural childbirth. Everyone knows that women are in great pain during childbirth, and many people cannot stand this pain. In fact, women have skills during childbirth. Mastering these skills can help women give birth easily and reduce the pain brought to women during childbirth. So what are the knowledge and skills of childbirth?

Common knowledge about natural childbirth

First of all, it is best for pregnant women to give birth between the ages of 25 and 29, because this age group is most suitable for natural childbirth. The older the pregnant woman is, the greater the risk. As she gets older, her birth canal and pelvis are not soft enough, which can easily lead to dystocia. Moreover, the older they are, the higher the possibility of suffering from other diseases, which is not beneficial to the growth of children.

Secondly, pregnant women should control their diet during pregnancy and should not eat too much meat, which will lead to overnutrition and fetal hypertrophy. An obese fetus will increase the difficulty of a normal delivery and may even cause a dystocia. Therefore, pregnant women should actively control their weight. If conditions permit, you can stick to gymnastics during pregnancy. In addition, you should have regular prenatal checkups and don’t skip them to save money. After all, your child’s health is the most important thing.

If you find that the fetus is in an abnormal position during the 7th month of pregnancy, you should go to the hospital to actively adjust it, because it is relatively easier for the fetus to adjust its position at that time, and in many cases the baby will adjust it by itself. However, if the fetal position has not been adjusted in the late pregnancy, it should be adjusted in time.

Pregnant women should be well prepared before giving birth, get enough rest, get enough nutrition, avoid being overly nervous, maintain a good attitude, and trust the nurses and doctors in the hospital. With their help, they will be able to give birth smoothly. At the same time, family members should provide psychological counseling for pregnant women.

Tips for pushing during childbirth

1. How to use force when lying on your back

1. Spread your legs fully, bend your knees, and bring your back foot as close to your hips as possible. Raise your hands behind you and grab the railing at the head of the bed or the handles on both sides.

2. First, take a full breath, then stop breathing while exhaling through your nose. After a few seconds, slowly push as if you were going to have a bowel movement. At this time, keep your lips tightly closed to prevent air from escaping. It takes about 25 seconds from inhaling, exerting force to completing exhaling.

2. How to use force when lying on your side

1. Gently bend your elbows underneath your body, place your palms on your face, and keep your feet together. Bend your knees as much as possible, and hold your thighs near your hips with one hand, or you can hold with both hands.

2. When lying on your side, the hands under your body will easily get tired. The head should not be bent too low, nor should the back be arched to the point where the eyes can see the navel. First, inhale fully into your chest, then, as when lying on your back, pause for a few seconds before exerting force.

Keep your back straight without arching it, and push your buttocks backwards. Bend- ing your head too low or hugging your knees instead of your hips are both incorrect ways to apply force.

This pushing posture seems to be the posture during defecation, and expectant mothers can do it easily.

Under normal circumstances, the entire delivery process takes about 16 hours for primiparas and 6-8 hours for multiparas. If the labor process of an expectant mother is prolonged for more than 30 hours due to some reason, it is called delayed labor. Usually, delayed labor occurs because of weak uterine contractions. Therefore, an important means of preventing delayed labor is to prevent uterine atony.
