What ointment to use for scrotal eczema

Scrotal eczema should be treated actively. Avoid excessive scratching or scalding, especially with soapy water. It is also not advisable to use irritants such as iodine, ringworm lotion, garlic, etc. Many patients can get better quickly as long as they avoid scratching and irritating the skin. At the same time, this disease is related to emotions. Keeping a good mood, getting enough rest and having confidence in winning the disease are also key links. In terms of diet, you should avoid spicy foods, such as onions, ginger, garlic, etc.

In terms of drug treatment, cold compress is the main treatment in the acute phase. About 3000 ml of clean water can be used each time without adding any drugs, or adding 3 grams of alum. Or use 10% phellodendron solution or 30 grams of dandelion,

Boil 15 grams of wild chrysanthemum in water and apply it to wet compress after it cools down. If there is infection, add 1 gram of chlorhexidine or 0.1 gram of potassium permanganate and dissolve it in 3000 ml of clean water. These methods are very effective for scrotal itching and exudation. Traditional treatments for the chronic stage include external application of Wet Kangning, Indigo Cream or Pi Ku Cream. Heating and baking therapy is better. Fumigation or Sophora flavescens decoction bath can also be used. Western medicine treatment is mainly based on external use of prednisone ointment. It should be used for at least 1 to 2 months, applied to the affected area once in the morning and once in the evening. No bandaging is required. The thinner the better. There is no need to remove the previous medicine before the next application. Antibacterial ointment can be applied for infected eczema. For thicker scrotal eczema, tar ointments can be applied, such as 5% coal tar ointment, 5% pine oil ointment, 5% soybean oil ointment, etc. However, Western medicine generally contains hormones, so it is not recommended to use Western medicine.

Develop the good habit of washing your lower body with warm water before going to bed. The water used to wash the lower body should not be too hot. Wash the reproductive organs first and then the anus. When drying the water, wipe the genitals first and then wipe the anus. Do not use the same towel to wipe the genitals after wiping the anus, otherwise the fungus will be brought to the perineum, which can easily cause tinea cruris.
