Menstruation is an important sign that women are entering puberty, but some women experience irregular menstrual cycles and menstrual volume, which may be a problem of functional uterine bleeding in puberty. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding during adolescence is functional uterine bleeding, which has a great impact on women's physical health. So what should we do about functional uterine bleeding in adolescence?

1: What is functional uterine bleeding during puberty

1: The disease is caused by nerves and endocrine. When girls reach puberty, their ovaries gradually mature. Under the influence of ovarian endocrine, the endometrium undergoes periodic thickening and shedding, forming "menstruation." Therefore, menstruation is actually a reflection of the regular activity of the ovaries.

However, from the time of menarche to the age of 18, the girl's internal reproductive organs, the ovaries, are not yet fully developed; the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian function is not yet perfect, and the ovarian function is very unstable; in addition, adolescent girls are prone to mood swings, and they are under stressful study and work, have a lot of exercise, as well as environmental and climatic changes and nutritional imbalances, all of which can affect the cerebral cortex's regulation of ovarian hormones, leading to menstrual disorders and heavy uterine bleeding. Severe bleeding can cause severe anemia or even hemorrhagic shock.

In addition to functional causes, certain diseases can also cause uterine bleeding in adolescence, such as cervical polyps, uterine fibroids, pelvic inflammatory disease, polycystic ovaries, ovarian tumors, thrombocytopenia, thyroid and adrenal diseases, and certain drug effects. Therefore, before treatment, you must ask a doctor to check, diagnose and treat the disease. Do not take "menstrual regulating drugs" or "hemostatic drugs" indiscriminately, otherwise it may delay the treatment.
