Why do I have breast pain and back pain?

Cervical spondylosis is one of the problems that troubles many young people. The cervical spine is a key part of the human body. It is connected to the back and chest. If there is a problem with the cervical spine, problems such as breast pain and back pain will occur. For those who work in front of the computer for a long time, they should pay more attention to this problem. Do not maintain a posture for a long time. They should exercise their muscles and bones frequently to activate the cells of the whole body. Let's follow the editor to learn about it below.

The sensation of the breast is controlled by the intercostal nerves and the 3rd and 4th cervical nerves. Once these nerves are invaded, it will cause pain, so breast pain is not a specific symptom of a certain disease. Early breast cancer rarely causes pain unless it is locally advanced or inflammatory breast cancer. Breast pain often comes from benign, non-tumorous breast diseases. It can be said that breast pain is not proportional to the benign or malignant nature of breast disease and the severity of the disease. It should be noted that breast lumps that are not accompanied by breast pain should be treated with greater caution.

Breast pain is influenced by the endocrine system of the anterior pituitary gland, ovaries, and adrenal cortex. Specifically, in the first half of the menstrual cycle, the ovaries secrete relatively more estrogen, and the mammary ducts develop and proliferate. In the second half of the menstrual cycle, estrogen and progesterone affect the development of mammary ducts and alveoli. At this time, women feel breast swelling. This physiological change may cause confusion between breast disease and true breast disease when checking for breast diseases during this period, so it is advisable to check in the first half of menstruation.

Lie flat on your back with your right arm raised above your head and a small pillow placed under your right shoulder to flatten your right breast. Put the four fingers of your left hand together and use the palm of your fingertips to check for lumps or other changes in various parts of the breast. Use the three fingers of your right hand (index finger, middle finger, and ring finger) to slowly, steadily, and carefully touch the breasts. Check the left breast by gradually moving forward or backward, starting from the outside of the breast and moving at least three times until the nipple. Inspection in an up-down or radial direction may also be used, but care should be taken not to miss any part. At the same time, check whether the axillary lymph nodes are swollen. Finally, gently squeeze the nipple between your thumb and index finger and observe for nipple discharge. If you notice cloudy, yellowish or bloody discharge, seek medical attention immediately.
