What is the reason for postpartum obesity

It stands to reason that after giving birth, it is a very relaxing stage because the burden has been completely unloaded and the mother can relax. However, many people often experience symptoms of puffiness after giving birth because their bodies are too weak. As a result, over time they will find that their figure has changed and they may not even be able to wear their old clothes. They will feel very disappointed. In fact, most postpartum puffiness comes from this factor.

Problem 1: No time to prepare a healthy meal

Many mothers don't have the time or energy to prepare healthy meals for themselves, so they just eat whatever they see, and often convenience foods are unhealthy. So if you have the habit of eating fast food and snacks, you need to change your eating habits.

Problem 2: Not getting enough sleep

Babies like to wake up in the middle of the night, and it often takes a long time to soothe them, which usually requires the mother to step in. When you're tired, the last thing you want to do is prepare healthy meals and exercise. If you don't get enough sleep, you may increase your chances of gaining weight after childbirth.

Problem 3: Not making exercise a priority

Moms often put the needs of others first and forget how important exercise is. Many mothers don't exercise because they think it's unnecessary to spend time on themselves. Another reason why mothers don't like exercise is that they think it's not fun. But in fact, there are some parent-child interactive sports that allow you to enjoy the fun of exercise while also having sufficient parent-child interaction time.

So how to solve the problem of postpartum obesity?

1. Never go on a diet, control your food intake

After giving birth, women mainly recover their health through healthy diet and exercise, so they must not diet. Mothers should ensure that the food they consume is nutritionally balanced. It is recommended to eat small meals frequently and avoid overeating. High-calorie snacks are also not recommended.

2. Get enough sleep

Mothers should avoid excessive fatigue and leave enough energy for themselves. You should leave some time for yourself. As a mom, you have a lot to do, how can you do anything without a good night's sleep? You can leave some time for yourself to get a massage or take a bubble bath, and you can also take advantage of the baby's sleep to catch up on your sleep.
