First, what are the examinations for older pregnant women? At 12 weeks and 20 weeks of pregnancy, you must go for two ultrasound examinations. This examination will eliminate fetuses with developmental abnormalities. Such as cleft lip and palate, organ abnormalities, etc. At 11 weeks of pregnancy, the doctor will use a biopsy needle to obtain a small amount of chorionic villi from the placenta and examine it. You can also use acupuncture under anesthesia to obtain amniotic fluid for examination at 16 weeks. Both types of sampling will effectively prevent and detect fetal abnormalities. However, as an older mother, you still need the specific advice of a doctor before performing these two operations to prevent miscarriage.

Second, this test is about detecting whether the chromosomes or blood have genetic diseases or abnormalities, but it is only limited to high-risk pregnant women. Doctors generally recommend that all pregnant women undergo an alpha-fetoprotein test between 16 and 20 weeks. This harmless test can promptly detect any abnormalities or lesions in the nerves, kidneys, liver, etc. Pregnant women need nutrition to ensure the growth of the fetus, so their food intake should increase by about 10 to 20% compared to usual. If you have nausea and vomiting as an early pregnancy reaction, you can eat small meals frequently. The diet should be light and easy to digest. You can eat sour fruits such as jujube and oranges, but avoid pickled vegetables.

What are the examinations for older pregnant women? During the 3 months of second trimester, the fetus gains 10 grams per day, and the pregnant woman’s food intake should increase. Because the enlarged uterus presses on the intestines and can easily cause constipation, pregnant women should eat more vegetables and drink more water. 2. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, the average daily diet should include an additional 9 grams of high-quality protein, which is equivalent to 300 grams of milk, two eggs or 50 grams of lean meat. If it is plant protein, you should eat 15 grams more, which is equivalent to 200 grams of tofu or rice. 2. In the last 3 months of pregnancy, the fetus doubles in weight and the number of brain cells surges. This is a critical stage in nutrition for pregnant women. Pay attention to sufficient, reasonable and balanced meals. All pregnant women are important during pregnancy and childbirth, and older pregnant women need to pay more attention. After all, the best childbearing period has passed, so more care and love or allowing them to relax both mentally and physically is crucial to a successful childbirth.
