What medicine should I take if I have lochia?

What medicine should I take if I have lochia?

If the lochia is not clean, it will lead to irregular menstruation and menstrual disorders. It is recommended that female friends should eat some Shenghua Tang porridge, such as Angelica sinensis, Chuanxiong peach kernel, etc. If the lochia is slightly unclean, antibiotics can be used for treatment. In severe cases of lochia, a uterine curettage is required to remove all the residues to avoid the occurrence of gynecological diseases. Therefore, it is recommended that female friends should understand how to deal with unclean lochia.

You can make some Shenghua Tang porridge at home, such as taking 15 grams of angelica, 10 grams of Chuanxiong, 10 grams of peach kernel, 7 grams of dried ginger (roasted black), and 3 grams of licorice, add water and a small amount of rice wine, boil, take the juice and remove the residue, then cook it into a thin porridge with 50-100 grams of washed japonica rice, add appropriate amount of brown sugar, drink it 1-2 times a day while it is warm.

First, if the situation is not serious, the amount of bleeding is not large, and no abnormalities occur for the time being, uterotonics and antibiotics can be used.

Second, if the situation is serious or placenta residue is found, uterine curettage should be performed while using antibiotics to remove the residue and promote uterine contractions.

Third, if the residue stays for too long, curettage can be performed under B-ultrasound to remove it completely in one go. To rule out infection, placental retention and other pathological changes, persistent lochia can be treated with folk prescriptions or traditional Chinese medicine.

Fourth, if it lasts more than 6 weeks and you notice a lot of bleeding or the blood has an unusual odor, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible. It is recommended that the mother go to the gynecology department of a regular public hospital for examination. Treat symptomatically.

There are three reasons for postpartum lochia

1. Tissue residues.

Due to uterine malformations, uterine fibroids and other reasons, the pregnancy tissue may not be completely removed, resulting in some tissue remaining in the uterine cavity. At this time, in addition to the unclean lochia, the amount of bleeding varies, with blood clots inside, and is accompanied by intermittent abdominal pain.

2. Uterine cavity infection.

Uterine infection may be caused by taking a tub bath after delivery, using unclean sanitary napkins, or having sexual intercourse before a full month after delivery. At this time, the lochia has a foul odor, there is tenderness in the abdomen, and it is accompanied by fever. A blood test shows an increase in the total white blood cell count.

3. Weak uterine contractions.

It may be due to failure to get a good rest after delivery, or due to poor health and illness, or due to prolonged delivery, which consumes Qi and blood, leading to weak uterine contractions and continuous lochia.
