What is the normal age for menopause?

Menopause is a stage that every woman will go through, and the time of menopause is different. This is mainly because the physique of each woman is different. For those who take good care of themselves, the menopause will generally be later. Menopause too early will affect women's physical health and may also lead to female infertility. Therefore, it is recommended that female friends should pay attention to protecting their bodies and enter the menopause stage after the age of 50.

Generally speaking, the age of menopause is usually between 45 and 55 years old. The early or late menopause of women varies greatly from person to person, and is also related to many factors.

However, menopause is also related to genetics. For example, if the mother's sister had menopause early, she may also have menopause early. If it is later, she may also have menopause later. It is also related to genetic factors. When women enter menopause, their ovarian function begins to decline. First, the corpus luteum function declines progressively. The follicles only develop to a certain extent, then shrink on their own and no longer ovulate. There is no corpus luteum formation, which manifests as a decline in reproductive function. However, in the early stages of ovarian function decline, the secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) increases, and the luteinizing hormone is still at a normal level. Due to the self-adjustment of the body's sexual function, FSH can reach normal levels and ovulatory menstrual cycles occur. Therefore, occasionally women who have been infertile for many years suddenly become pregnant before menopause. With the increase of age, ovarian function changes from instability to decline and imbalance, which often manifests as irregular menstruation, menstrual cycle disorders, prolonged menstruation, and continuous bleeding before menopause, while symptoms such as premenstrual tension syndrome, cyclical breast pain, edema and headache disappear.
