What causes breast pain during seven months of pregnancy?

Breast tenderness in the seventh month of pregnancy is mostly normal. During pregnancy, the hormone levels in women's bodies are constantly changing. If you feel a lump, it is best to go to the hospital for a detailed examination, find out the cause, and then deal with it actively.

What to do if you have breast pain during pregnancy

1. Breast tenderness is a normal phenomenon during pregnancy. Pregnant mothers do not need to be too nervous or take any special measures. After pregnancy, you should choose loose underwear, preferably those specially designed for pregnant women, which can be taken off at home to reduce pressure on the outside of the breasts.

2. In the early stages of pregnancy, the bath water must not be too hot. Since the body temperature of pregnant women is 1.5 degrees Celsius higher than normal people, if the mother's body temperature is too high, rising by 3 degrees Celsius, it may kill the fetal brain cells and cause permanent damage. Because the mother's temperature is too high will directly affect the growth and development of the fetus, severe cases will cause deformed babies or mentally retarded children.

3. In daily life, you must maintain a cheerful and optimistic attitude, do not be anxious, angry, or irritated, and deal with things calmly.

4. Things to avoid causing liver depression and qi stagnation, which may lead to breast pain in early pregnancy.

What are the causes of breast pain during pregnancy?

The pain and swelling caused by breast hyperplasia usually manifests as distension or stabbing pain, which is more common on one side. Those with severe pain may not even dare to touch the breast, affecting their daily life and work. The pain may radiate to the ipsilateral armpit or shoulder and back, and some may manifest as nipple pain or itching.

After a woman enters pregnancy, her breasts will change, which is a normal physiological reaction. Around 40 days of pregnancy, the breasts gradually increase in size and breast tenderness begins. This kind of distension and pain usually lasts for 3-4 months, and if it is more severe, it can last throughout the pregnancy. Of course, some people will also feel obvious pain.

If you encounter breast pain, you can use hot compresses or massage to solve it. Generally, no serious treatment is required. However, pregnant women also need to be particularly careful. Once breast fibroids are found, they must be removed immediately.

Many patients believe that they should not seek medical treatment during pregnancy, fearing that it will have a bad impact on the baby in the belly, thus giving the tumor an opportunity to grow. Therefore, once a breast tumor is discovered, it should be surgically removed between the 3rd and 6th months of pregnancy, because pregnancy and breastfeeding can accelerate tumor growth and even cause malignancy.

After childbirth, if you experience severe breast pain, accompanied by redness and swelling, pain when touched, and fever and other inflammatory symptoms, you may have mastitis and need to go to a professional hospital for treatment.
