Is it normal for jelly-like brown vaginal discharge to occur?

In the gynecology department of the hospital, doctors sometimes observe women's leucorrhea samples, which means that women's leucorrhea can reflect whether their body is in a healthy state. Because normal leucorrhea has a standard in terms of smell, color and properties. Once the leucorrhea does not meet these standards, it means that there may be something wrong with the body. So, is it normal for leucorrhea to be brown and jelly-like?

It is normal for leucorrhea to be white, transparent, and jelly-like. It may also be a manifestation of vaginitis, vulvitis, or cervicitis.

1. This situation may occur during the ovulation period. The leucorrhea will be thin and a little stringy, with a length of about ten centimeters. After drying, it will become jelly-like. Normal leucorrhea is colorless, transparent and odorless, and sometimes jelly-like; abnormal leucorrhea may be yellow, have an odor, and be accompanied by symptoms such as vulvar itching.

2. It may be a manifestation of vaginitis, vulvitis or cervicitis, so in this case, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital gynecology department for routine leucorrhea examination in time, and carry out drug treatment under the guidance of a doctor after the diagnosis is confirmed based on the examination results.

3. It is recommended to keep the genitals clean at ordinary times, and the underwear should be changed regularly. It is best not to wash the underwear with other clothes or shoes overnight, and do not wash them in the washing machine. It is recommended to disinfect them with boiling water and then expose them to the sun. Do not use antibiotics indiscriminately. Antibiotics can easily destroy the vaginal flora and cause the occurrence of enzyme cells. The toilet at home should be cleaned regularly, as the toilet is the place where the most bacteria breed.
