What is the reason for the hard areola?

Some women's nipples look particularly hard and may be darker in color. In fact, the color of women's nipples is closely related to genetic factors. It does not mean that women's nipples will become darker after having sex. There is a layer of areola under women's nipples. If the areola is pink, it is also very attractive. So what is the reason for women's hard areola?

You may be pregnant. After a woman becomes pregnant, her breasts will change due to the changes in hormone levels in the body during pregnancy, such as larger breasts, darker areolas, and harder nipples.

Maybe I'm having my period. One possible factor for hard nipples is hormone levels. Before a woman's period, her hormones will change, which can cause her nipples to harden.

The breasts become hard during sexual intercourse, and all women who have had sex have had this experience. The breasts are one of the most sensitive parts of a woman. During sexual intercourse, when stimulated by sexual excitement, the breasts will respond to sexual stimulation. The main manifestation is that the breasts will become larger and the nipples will become hard.

Breast hyperplasia may occur. Breast hyperplasia refers to the proliferation of breast epithelial and fibrous tissue, structural degeneration of breast ducts and lobules, and progressive growth of connective tissue. One of the more common symptoms is hardening of the nipple.

Small calluses will appear due to frequent friction. If you rub your breasts and nipples frequently, your nipples may become harder than normal.

How to prevent nipple cracking?

1. Be sure to develop good breastfeeding habits: breastfeeding time should be regular and controlled, 15-25 minutes each time, and do not let your baby develop the habit of sleeping with the nipple in his mouth.

2. After finishing breastfeeding, clean the nipples with warm water in time. Be careful not to use too much force when cleaning. Just clean away the remaining milk. In addition, keep the nipples, areola and other parts clean and dry to prevent cracks.

3. Gently wipe the nipples with a dry cotton towel. This can effectively enhance the toughness of the nipple skin and reduce the probability of being bitten when the baby sucks.

4. Some mothers will have inverted nipples, which will greatly affect breastfeeding, so it is necessary to correct it in time. It is recommended to gently pull out the nipples with your hands when cleaning. As the nipple skin gradually becomes stronger, the inverted problem will slowly disappear.

5. If the baby sucks too hard, you may want to use a nipple shield for protection. When purchasing, be sure to choose a product with a reasonable design, non-toxic and odorless.
